Children 18 and younger can receive free meals this summer at 31 locations across Des Moines through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.

Hoover won the 2026 Iowa State Class 3A Soccer Tournament. It's the first state soccer title for any DMPS high school. After being down 2-0 at half, Hoover tied the match on two penalty kicks and then it was back-and-forth before the Huskies ended up on top 4-3. Congrats Hoover!
