Westfield FC are delighted to announce that the our home , The Knight & Davey Community Stadium has passed all the necessary FA ground grading requirements to accommodate promotion to the next level.

"I am delighted that the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers at the club have secured the required ground grading, ensuring that if we find ourselves in a promotion position on the pitch, we will be fully prepared off it. This achievement is the result of a true team effort, with countless late nights, significant financial commitment, and tireless dedication from everyone involved.

The Knight & Davey Community Stadium now genuinely feels like a place we can call home. Over the summer, we plan to make further improvements to the ground with the goal of securing the next level of ground grading, continuing our progress both on and off the pitch.

Once again, a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers for their incredible hard work and unwavering support. This club would not be where it is today without you"

Opening of the New Stand – The Graeme Kempster end

We are proud to announce the official opening of our new stand behind the goal, named in honour of our phoenix, Graeme Kempster, who we so tragically lost. Kindly sponsored by GB Carpentry, Gavin Bourne , this stand represents more than just a structure — it represents a legacy.

Graeme was a player who embodied everything Westfield stands for, having come through the club from youth level right through to the first team. His dedication on and off the pitch left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Throughout this journey — from moving grounds to every weekend we step onto the pitch — Graeme’s parents, Angela and Mick, have been a constant in our thoughts and hearts.

As a club, this is the very least we could do to honour Graeme’s memory, and we hope this stand will stand the test of time as we continue to grow into senior football.

Today (27th January) we proudly mark the one-year anniversary of our beloved Westfield FC's home, the Knight and Davey Community Stadium!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since we kicked off with a thrilling 1-0 victory against Rotherfield, where Rooney’s late goal secured our inaugural win!

In just 12 months, we’ve achieved so much off the pitch in preparation for promotion to Step 6.

• 🌟 New Turnstile Gates: Enhancing access for all our amazing fans!

• 🪑 50-Seater Stand: Providing extra seating for our supporters to enjoy the matches.

• 💡 Floodlight Installation Approved: Soon, we’ll be able to train and host competitive games in the evenings!

• 📋 New Fixture Board: Keeping everyone updated on our match schedules.

• ☔ Sheltered Stand Covering: Coming soon, ensuring comfort for our dedicated spectators & and an area to sing your favourite players name !

We've transformed the Knight and Davey into a vibrant hub for football, hosting multiple games and catering to hundreds of supporters with our onsite burger van and licensed bar.

It's been incredible to see our first team, reserves, U18s, and veterans all thrive on this stage, showcasing their talent and dedication.

Thr first team are currently on the charge of promotion in the Mid Sussex League , our reserves have jus secured themselves a semi final in Sussexs biggest competition whilst maintaining a respectable league campaign , our u18s are diding their feet in the SCYFL , and astonishingly this season our Vets have only had the one game so lots to come.

To celebrate our newest kit deal with Macron Sports Hub - Hastings - We’re excited to announce that we’re running a competition to design our 2025/26 first team home kits.

Any age or ability can participate in this competition.

You can have your chance to design our home kits for next season which will be worn by the Men’s senior team who will be playing over 60 games next season as well as plenty of prizes for the winners and the top 3.

Here are the rules.

Home Kit – Must be used the primary colours of Yellow & Green .

Deadline – Designs must be in by the 31st of January 2025

You can create as many designs as you like – there is no limit!

There are two styles of shirts available with logos in different locations , shorts and socks can be designed customised too.

How to Enter – You can scan and email your design to [email protected] OR you can hand deliver your design to the Bar area on match days at the Knight & Davey Community Stadium or drop into the Macron Sports Hub Hastings.

We are thrilled to announce that, after 113 years of history, Westfield Football Club has been granted planning permission to install floodlights at our new ground “The Knight & Davey Community Stadium”. This marks a monumental milestone for our club and our community, paving the way for a new era of growth and opportunity not just on the pitch but also off it.

The installation of floodlights is more than just an upgrade to our facilities—it’s a symbol of our club’s evolution and ambition. For over a century, Westfield has been a cornerstone of the community, and now, with this development, we can extend our reach and impact even further.

This achievement will allow us to host evening matches, expand our reach to the youth in the community and welcome even more members of the village and surrounding areas to our ground. From our senior teams to our youth squads, and from our supporters to local schools and community groups, everyone stands to benefit from this long-awaited improvement.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this possible: our loyal supporters, dedicated volunteers, Past and present committee members, players, The Parish Council, Jack Coleman of studio on sea, who without none of this would have been possible as he guided us through every step of application process and his dedication and expertise of work shone through, last but not least the wider community who have stood by us and provided valuable feedback, Help and passion. This has been instrumental in helping us achieve this historic milestone.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to maintaining the values that have defined Westfield Football Club and the village for over a century. The floodlights are just the beginning of our vision to ensure that Westfield as a whole continues to thrive for generations to come.

Thank you for your unwavering support. Whilst this is an amazing step forward we now have to purchase said floodlights, an application has gone into the Football Foundation and we’re very optimistic this will lead to a substantial amount of the cost being covered but we still require everyone’s backing, so please turn up to games, enjoy the bar and food outlet, support our fund raising events and let’s make this a facility that everyone can be proud of.
