Turning awareness into action! A #training session on the #Solid #Waste #Management Rules, 2026 organised at Thiruvananthapuram Central station strengthening the commitment towards cleaner stations, greener journeys and a more sustainable future.

Highlight of the event was an informative session by Smt. GeethaRani S. from @SuchitwaKeralam. Adding youthful energy to the initiative, the @nsstvm Unit of Kerala University College unveiled multilingual waste-disposal trilingual jingles, encouraging passengers to dispose of waste responsibly.

*Rescheduling of Train Service*

Train No.22816 Ernakulam Jn - Bilaspur Superfast Express scheduled to leave Ernakulam Jn at 08.40 hrs on 22.07.2026 (Today) is rescheduled to leave Ernakulam Jn at 11.30 hrs (Late by 2 hours 50 mins) due to late running of pairing train.

Due to infrastructure works by Western Railway, the following train services will be partially cancelled:
Train no. 16336 Nagercoil – Gandhidham Express Scheduled to depart Nagercoil on 28 July 2026, will run only up to Ahmedabad.
Train no. 16335 Gandhidham – Nagercoil Express Scheduled to depart Gandhidham on 31 July 2026 will originate from Ahmedabad instead of Gandhidham.
Passengers are requested to plan their journey accordingly.

Caught Without a Ticket, Convicted by Law!
A ticketless passenger who refused to pay the ₹600 penalty was successfully prosecuted through the coordinated efforts of the Ticket Checking Staff and RPF. The Special Class Railway Magistrate Court, Kollam, convicted the accused, imposing a fine of ₹7,000 and one day's imprisonment.
Travel with a valid ticket. It's the right choice for you and for everyone.

Travel Right, Travel with a Ticket!

A Fortress Check and Special Ticket Checking Drive conducted at Kollam Junction on 20.07.2026 detected 326 cases of ticketless and unlawful travel, resulting in a total penalty recovery of ₹1.80 lakh.

Ticket checking drives are conducted regularly to ensure fair travel for all passengers. Avoid penalties by purchasing a valid ticket before you travel.

Enjoyed releasing a new book, “Beyond the Ivy League”, by RN Singh, outgoing General Manager of @GMSRailway and a legendary administrator renowned for his innovations, including railway modernisation and freight logistics.

I inflicted at some length on the assembled audience my own views and philosophy of leadership, which seemed largely to accord with the vision in his book!

Diversion of train services!

Train No. 22503 Kanniyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek express that left Kanniyakumari at 17.25 hrs on 17.07.2026 will be diverted via New Bongaigaon, Rangiya, Rangapara, North Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh due to water logging at Simaluguri Yard in Tinsukia Division.
