A status yellow wind warning is in effect for Dublin from 08:00 to 14:00 Tuesday 20/01/26.

A status yellow gale warning for the East Coast of Ireland from 00:00 to 02:00 Wednesday.   

Strong onshore south-easterly to easterly winds are expected throughout the period. 

Furthermore, we are currently in a period of Spring Tides (higher than usual tides), where wave overtopping is anticipated at high tide.

When near a coastline, the public are advised to stay back, stay high and stay dry.

The situation continues to be monitored by Dublin City Council.

As a precaution, public car parks are closed in the Clontarf and Sandymount area from Tuesday morning 20/01/26 until further notice.

Dublin Port have advised that the Wooden Bull Bridge and Great South Wall will be closed from 10:25-14:25 on Tuesday 20/01/26.

Wednesday 21/01/26 at 00:52 and 13:01

Thursday 22/01/26 at 01:29 and 13:41

The An tSrúill Project Team recently celebrated a major milestone with the topping out of this ambitious residential development in Coolock — delivering 146 much needed new homes to the area.

Located at the junction of Oscar Traynor Road and Kilmore Road in Dublin 5, An tSrúill is being delivered by the Land Development Agency (LDA) and Dublin City Council (DCC), with Bennett (Construction) Ltd as the construction partner on this project.

Exciting updates from the Royal Canal Phase 3 Scheme! Jetty works at Portland Lock Apartments which began in November, are nearly complete. Declan Coles is a Dublin-based singer, songwriter and bodhrán player, born and raised in an Irish community on Long Island, New York. His lifelong passion for Irish music brought him to Dublin in 2019, where he quickly became a central figure in the city’s trad scene. He is the first international Chairman of UCD TradSoc, founder of the popular Trad Tuesday sessions at McCloskey’s and Mahon’s, and a member of the acclaimed trad and folk group FILIDH.

An Droichead Órga, a brownfield site in Dublin 8, is being developed by Dublin City Council as part of the SDRA under the Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028. This project will provide 578 homes: 441 cost rental and 137 social, aligning with the Housing for All Plan. Built to Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standards, it aims for Home Performance Index (HPI) certification for energy efficiency and sustainability.
Community facilities will include a library/community hub, crèche, supermarket, café, retail units, and inviting public spaces. Safe play areas and communal spaces will foster connections among residents. The site is well-connected to transport links and green spaces like Phoenix Park and the Camac River. 🌳🏡
