On Happiness.
I learnt this in 2016. It has been a helpful guide.
🟦 Happiness is a choice. Choose to stay happy every day, and stay committed to that choice.
🟦 Never let your happiness depend on what you can lose.
🟦 Happiness lies in knowing that to bother yourself with.
This is Pastor Iren's message that changed my life and mentality.
It's been over 5yrs in my phone and every time I feel dismayed and backward I go back to it.
Thank you Pastor @pst_iren
Bronze medalists are usually happier than silver medalists.
It’s psychological.
Third place feels like “at all at all win”, while second feels like a loss.
Runners-up compare upward to the winners; third place compares downward to everyone else.
I am super pumped to share that last month, @chowdeck hit over 1 million orders in Nigeria in a single month! 🚀
The past few weeks hasn't been perfect. We have had some tough moments with support and operations. But we are listening, learning, and fixing things quickly.
Our daily order volumes in Nigeria has grown from an average of ~30K daily orders a few weeks ago to over 40K daily orders presently and still increasing day on day.
To everyone who’s shown us patience, trust, and continued support, thank you.
This milestone reminds us of what is possible when people believe in what we’re building.
Cheers to 1M orders! It’s still Day 1, and there are many more wins to come.
Anticipate! 🚀
It will only take great and literate minds to understand what these situations are costing businesses every day. It’s not for self; it’s for everyone. I’m glad Folajomi spoke on this.
Hehehehehehehe, I support that man like mad, I mean if you're present for the whole pregnancy like you should, you'd definitely have a burden you're going through.
It’s people who think like Maraji that haven’t made paternity leave a norm in the work space.
They give the woman 3 months and give the guy 1 week.
As per “no be u born, resume work immediately”, when in fact, the woman actually needs the full help of her husband that period.

Too many smart people think doing great work is enough. But is it?
As you pay attention to the career journey of so many people you would realize that competence without visibility is a career-limiting move. The people who get ahead are not always the best, they are the best at showing they can deliver.
3 things I tell early career professionals:
- Own your work. Don’t wait for someone to “discover” you, speak up, take initiative, and deliver results that people remember.
- Find leverage. The fastest way up is not only working harder, it’s attaching yourself to projects that matter to decision-makers.
- Build a reputation, not only a résumé. People bet on those they trust. If you are known for solving problems, opportunities will come your way.
What’s one thing you wish you knew earlier in your career?

Nobody takes you seriously if you don’t take yourself seriously first.
People don’t ignore you because you’re not talented, they ignore you because you don’t show up with confidence. You second-guess yourself, downplay your skills, and wait for permission to be seen. That’s why you’re overlooked.
Confidence isn’t arrogance; it’s knowing your value and owning it. The people you admire aren’t necessarily better than you—they just believe in themselves enough to act like it. They walk into rooms like they belong, and guess what? People treat them accordingly.
Stop waiting to feel ready. Invest in yourself, show up prepared, and move like someone who deserves to be in the conversation. When you take yourself seriously, the world has no choice but to do the same.
As my operations lecturer once said, what can be moved quickly must be counted quickly. My retail people come closer, let’s talk cycle counting.
In 2015, we launched 2 new salads with eggs. A few months in, we noticed crates of eggs were flying off the shelves. At first, I was
One of the key ingredients of ownership is the inherent bias for action - the natural inclination to move forward and make things happen. Those who demonstrate a high level of ownership consistently take initiative and display a proactive approach to their responsibilities. Rather than waiting for explicit instructions or permission, these individuals recognize opportunities and purposefully move toward solutions
Leave the tarrif of the vehicle the middle class buys as they are. These are vehicles that are older than 5 years.
Increase the tarrif for brand new vehicles (vehicles that are 5 years old to brand new).
This will provide incentives for the Nigerian market to buy more brand new vehicles more.
This will provide the platform for automotive industry to utilize more of its capacity.

As we get into the new year and you begin to execute your people strategy, I would like to share with you an opinion on talent mobility and my theory is that growing your own people and promoting them is medium- to long-term more successful and more sustainable than buying . . .
