Quick update on HoYoverse’s Nodus Fall:

In a statement provided to PC Gamer following Gamescom, HoYoverse confirmed that Nodus Fall will not rely on a traditional gacha model.

Key monetization details:

• Free-to-Play structure

• All characters unlocked strictly through gameplay progression

• Monetization limited entirely to optional cosmetics and skins

A noticeable shift in strategy compared to Genshin Impact and their previous titles.

Day 2 of the release and devs say nearly 5 million players have entered.

Their own description is the funniest part: the once-quiet rooftops are now covered in players leaping across them, clock towers and church domes are packed with people taking in the view and Tingen’s NPCs are already gossiping about “a bunch of outsiders who showed up out of nowhere, and they fly. and they speak Chinese.”

Also in the 7 day launcher calendar each day raises the level cap and unlocks new story, dungeons and PvP:

• Day 1: cap 39, launch, Sinful Tingen, castle housing, the Oath (marriage) system, 500-player World Disaster, GVG + arena

• Day 2: cap 46, guilds, sealed artifacts, 12v12

• Day 3: cap 52, Black Thorn arc, 240-player battlefield

• Day 4: cap 56, 1,000-player Hunting City + 500-player Highlands

• Day 5-7: caps 60 to 62, weapon reforge, new dungeons, more story
