Today, we pause to give thanks for the students, families, and educators who make Dallas stronger every single day. Thanksgiving reminds us that learning doesn’t just happen in classrooms, it happens around dinner tables, in conversations with loved ones, and in the small moments of connection that shape who we become.

Excited to share that our Executive Director, Nakia Douglas, recently joined Sarah Zubiate Bennett on the Let’s Talk Local podcast to discuss how Dallas can deliver world-class learning for every child. Dallas has roughly 144,000 economically disadvantaged students within DISD boundaries, and 40 percent of children living in poverty are not school-ready. These are not just stats. They are our neighbors and the future of our city.
