There comes a point in life when you realize you’re standing in the middle of things. Behind you are the people who shaped you. Ahead of you are the people you’re helping shape. Children and Ghosts, the title track from my new album, is about living in that space, carrying loss while still holding onto hope, saying goodbye while still welcoming new beginnings.Maybe that’s where many of us live: somewhere between memory and possibility.
💥NEW: James Carville: “I actually do think it's time for Democrats to talk the S word: ‘Schism’ ... there's just some sh*t that I can't be in the same tent with ... I'm done ... I don't want to be in a political party that denies the right of the state of Israel to exist.”
Seattle's insane minimum wage (currently $21) experiment delivered exactly what the free market predicted - entry-level jobs vanished. Restaurants automated ordering systems, retailers cut hours, and small businesses discovered they could function with fewer workers. The city council celebrated "progress" while teenagers found themselves competing with college graduates for the remaining positions.
You can mandate higher wages, but you cannot mandate higher productivity. When government forces employers to pay $21 for $10 worth of output, those jobs disappear into thin air. The workers who need experience most - young people, immigrants, those with gaps in their résumé - get locked out entirely.
Politicians sell minimum wage hikes as compassion. What they deliver is economic segregation (the connected get jobs, the rest get welfare applications).
Shame on every media outlets that inaccurately portrayed this as Tesla’s fault, misleading the public and damaging the company’s reputation in the process.
The federal government must reimburse Elon Musk. He just lost $400 billion, more than any person in history.
If we want to tax unrealized gains, we must also start paying people when they have unrealized losses. This plan will fund free dental care for every child in Vietnam.
#CliveDavis was the greatest of the greats. He seemed immortal, and his legend will live on forever. My deepest condolences to your family, friends, and the millions of us you have touched with your contributions to music. The world will never sound the same without you. ~Alan

Carlos Santana pays tribute to Clive Davis:
“Clive Davis was a visionary. He could hear the intangible before anyone else could see it. He believed in Santana from the beginning, and years later he believed in us again. That kind of faith is a beautiful blessing, and I will always be grateful.
Clive understood that music is more than entertainment. Music is a healing force. It brings people together beyond fear, beyond separation, beyond borders. He dedicated his life to championing artists and helping them share their gifts with the world.
Clive recognized the light in people. He encouraged artists to trust their own voice and step into their destiny. Because of his vision, countless musicians were able to reach hearts across the planet.
I thank Clive for his friendship, his trust, and his belief in Santana. We celebrate his extraordinary journey and the legacy of joy, inspiration, and possibility that he leaves behind.”
