This account is no longer actively managed as I've left my job at @CommunityRail but I'm leaving it up for inspiration about the brilliant work in the sector.

@watfordgap@CommunityRail@Abbeylinecrp I will miss it all so very much. It has been quite the experience and draws to a close much as it started: with a whirlwind tour of #CommunityRail doings and the realisation that this is a job without beginnings or endings; just endless opportunities for community connections.
This week I have been interviewing @bessbbe, trainee train driver for @GBRailfreight and author & illustrator of this excellent book. She tells me there are more than 100,000 copies around the railway: an extraordinary achievement.
So this is what I’ve come to see - a brand new piece of public art for Guildford, “Host” by artist Julie Hoyle. It’s a huge mural, in two 5m-long sections, full of details about local history and features.
It has won a design award from the Guildford Society, and today the award was unveiled. It’s great to see a #CommunityRail project being recognised and appreciated by its local community!
@Iskra1234@ScenicRailBrit Of course! Silly of me - for some reason I had it my head that trains call at both, but of course they don't - you can see one from the other. I think the stations either side of the Forth Bridge are a good call - but is it really that quick between them?
Congratulations @DCRailPart! I was really pleased to see all three shortlisted entries for this award feature @communityrail members - so well done also to @fobs_seaford for your shortlisting for Bishopstone and @DarentValleyCRP for your shortlisting for Eynsford.
Love this short film by @SW_Help showing off some of the many station adopters on their network and underscoring the importance of adopters' work to stations and local communities. Most of them are members of @communityrail - I spotted some familiar faces! https://t.co/SKP8z8SS7x
@MrTimDunn@cvhdavidblues Thanks @MrTimDunn and hello @cvhdavidblues. I do love a Pond and am happy to add whatever small amount I can. I try to keep this a/c for my day job so I'm going to shift this over to one of my alternates, @beautyoftranspt and carry on the reply from there... Bear with.
Just changed trains at Gatwick Airport so took the chance to visit @SoutheastCRP’s new station history display. A tour-de-force by CRP line group member and local historian Bruce Healey, it is easily the biggest and surely one of the best I’ve seen. #CommunityRail
@CommunityRail And later we saw these beautifully restored William Blake-inspired mosaics recently installed at @SW_Help’s Surbiton station, which our members Friends of Surbiton Station partnered with several others to deliver (more details here: https://t.co/ZtcMRlftdz).
Busy out on the patch today catching up with @CommunityRail members. Being work shadowed by my colleague Patrick today; here we are Tolworth checking in with @communitybrain’s Himali (we missed you @LordScroley! But Himali held the fort admirably as you’d expect.)
We earlier admired the work of Elmstead Woods Gardening Project and their recently completed Station history room which is all kinds of fab (@communityrail was delighted to support works to make good the floor). Here are leads Sally and Ed with their latest station sculpture.
