NEWS: In a closed House Dem meeting, rank and file lawmakers expressed alarm at having to vote on an amendment to cut off aid to Israel.
Begging for leadership's guidance.

Note that Richie Torres, NY-15, easily fended off a progressive challenger while being pro-Israel in one of the poorest districts in the country, almost all Hispanic & Black, with a small Jewish population. He's focused on the needs of his constituents, not anti-American theory.
This may change, Mike (I hope it does), but right now the Democratic Party looks more like Mamdani’s party. Is there still some ideological diversity? Sure, but all the energy in has been moving in one direction. https://t.co/3xsTYCkERP
I am honored to be the people’s choice for the Democratic nomination in NY-15.
I am proud to represent the Bronx, which is a microcosm of America itself: a multiracial, multiethnic, multireligious democracy. We are Black and White, Latino and Asian. We are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu. We are One Bronx.
More meaningful than the victory itself was how we achieved it: by securing a supermajority of the vote with a multiracial, multiethnic, multireligious coalition of working families from every corner of the Bronx.
It is the honor of my life to be a fighter from and for the only home I have ever known. Even when I leave the Bronx for Washington, the Bronx never leaves me.

The noise you heard tonight was the sound of John Ossoff (ranked 3rd on Polymarket) and Josh Shapiro (ranked 5th) chances of being the Dem. nominee in 2028 imploding.
Moderate, Jewish, and pro-Israel is the exact opposite direction of where the Dem base is going right now.
New York City will suffer the loss of seniority & relationships, which will mean less for the City. Meanwhile, the newbies will antagonize more senior members, committee & subcommittee chairs who will be in a position to assist NYC. Mamdani is like the manager who traded 2 MVPs for unimpressive rookies likely to be sent back to minor leagues.
The idea that it’s better for NYC that the @NYCMayor catapulted an ideological fringe activist out of nowhere to topple a Democrat incumbent with seniority…is bonkers.
Don’t take it from me. Take it from @RepGregoryMeeks: “Even though the mayor endorsed someone else, it's a huge loss for the mayor in trying to get the resources from DC”
Greg Meeks fired up after DSA wins big in NYC. Meeks upset by Espaillat’s loss.
“The goal here is to win the majority, not being in a permanent minority.”
“Even though the mayor endorsed someone else, it's a huge loss for the mayor in trying to get the resources from DC”
Friend of mine supportive of @danielsgoldman campaign: “I’m going through election results analyzing block by block. In Park Slope, @bradlander gets 80-90% of the votes.” These are vote shares that would impress Kim Jong Un (who got 99.93% of the “vote” in his last election).
Was it obvious two months ago that the head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus was vulnerable in a race against a professional grad student and convert to Islam whose main qualification was leadership of an anti-Israel campout? Zohran knew it!
💥Stephen A. Smith on Zohran Mamdani🇺🇸
"If the Democratic Party becomes HIM, you have no chance ... on a national basis in terms of the presidency, in Senate seats, seats in the House — you have NO chance."
"You might have a Democratic Socialist sprinkled here and there — but that ain't what America is! America is about capitalism! America is about dollars and cents! America is about an economy, a flourishing economy!"
"And you know what it's not about!? Free stuff. Somebody gotta say it, so I'm gon' say it!"
A small silver lining.
But a reminder that the DSA far left, anti-Israel brand of politics only plays in deep blue cities and college towns.
Still, it didn’t play *anywhere* … just a couple years ago.
