All out elections can mean big shifts, and voters could reshape the council in one go. Labour has held control of Barnsley Council since 1974, but recent local elections have seen growing support for other parties.
Drove past Sheffield a few times over the years & always wondered what they were building with all the cranes. Every year the cranes were there & I said to my husband how long have they been building there? The look on his face when he told me it was a crane yard.

Barnsley council yesterday denied rumours that housing for asylum seekers was being built on a former glassworks site. Popped up last night to see quite a few police vehicles, including mobile CCTV.
