Almost every part of the AI supply chain is constrained. Energy being the most constrained. This is why names like $IREN and $CIFR have become front and center. 💪🏻
Looking forward to this morning in Dallas sitting down live with @DianeKingHall for an hour long fireside chat to discuss all things AI. So much to talk about after this wild week in markets and tech. 👏🏻
So much talk about Tokenmaxxing and Looksmaxxing. I am all about Sleepmaxxing? 🛌😴💤
Sleep has to be the most underrated “performance enhancing activity” out there. 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻
$MSFT saw the biggest single day market cap gain in history based on it being wildly oversold, its strong out perform this quarter, and most of all the rapid sentiment shift that followed the capitulation and deleveraging in the market. Tech earnings have been good and hyperscalers are growing revenue/bookings much faster than Capex. 👏🏻🚀
Chinese labs train on $NVDA and distill the frontiers. It was never Huawei despite the FUD.
Said another way, if Anthropic, OpenAI, and $GOOGL didn’t make big bets to build frontier models the cheap open source ones would suck. 😬😮💨
Honored to be speaking at Schwab’s Market Drive event in Dallas tomorrow to share my market outlook, thoughts on the AI buildout and what the emerging AI economy could look like.
There will be also no Futurum Equities podcast today due to travel.

So it looks like the last 30 days of selling weren’t about the validity of AI or even Capex for that matter. It was a massive deleveraging exercise that ended in select capitulation.
$AMZN raised capex by $20 billion and acknowledged that it still can’t meet demand for AI compute.
Regardless of recent volatility the AI capex boom and build out is full steam ahead.
Yesterday I was asked if this quarter’s earnings for tech and AI even matter. The anchor suggests the market had already decided. My answer remained that the AI trade is structurally in tact. With today’s wild swing I am glad I kept my head. 👊🏻
$AMZN AWS saw its fastest growth in 18 quarters. Impressive. And it smashed on EPS.
Of course this is driven by AI. Now we wait to hear the capex. Based on this quarter it’s likely we will see a capex increase. 👏🏻
