Hezbollah attacked a UNIFIL post last night, killing one soldier and wounding two.
Will the Security Council call for an emergency session this time or will they continue to turn a blind eye to Hezbollah's terrorism? There is no future for Lebanon as long as Hezbollah dictates the countryโs future.
Congratulations to the newly elected members of the Security Council.
Israel looks forward to working together in pursuit of global security and stability.

Today, at the UN Security Councilโs emergency session on Lebanon, I named what some of my colleagues refused to say.
The problem is Hezbollah.
It keeps the fire alive. It keeps Lebanon hostage. It keeps northern Israel under attack.
If there is no quiet in northern Israel, there will be no quiet for Hezbollah. No terrorist will have immunity.
As the Security Council convenes an โemergency sessionโ on Israelโs military activity in Lebanon, sirens are sounding across northern Israel due to Hezbollah rocket fire.
Israelโs Ambassador to the United Nations, @dannydanon, tells me at the Jerusalem Post conference: Despite Zohran Mamdaniโs threats to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he comes to New York, Prime Minister Netanyahu will attend the United Nations General Assembly in September.
Delighted to have joined @IsraelinUN@dannydanon and fellow #UN ambassadors for yesterdayโs wonderful Israel Day Parade in New York! ๐จ๐ฟ๐ค๐ฎ๐ฑ
