I released my first paid WordPress plugin (MC4WP) in 2013, 13 years ago.
It's currently at €25K MRR, so while small for PE, huge for me and my family.
I have users that have been with us for all of the 13 years. It is my goal, duty even, to ensure this thing keeps running for them for as long as I can.
What's profitable for a solo founder or a small team is often pennies for private equity
That's why you see them killing WordPress plugins left and right, while on the other hand a solo founder maintaining plugins for a decade and still going
and btw @CartseraHQ is 100% independent.
Koko Analytics & Mailchimp for WordPress are now both listed on @patchstackapp's Vulnerability Disclosure Program.
Bounty is at $1400 and $7200 respectively. Go get it tigers!
@moneybird Hoi. API problemen? Ik krijg opeens 401 returns op een /tax_rates endpoint bij ons in productie. Geen wijzigingen gedaan.
GET https://t.co/MsTTPrXev2<admin-id>/tax_rates.json
@Dan0sz@moneybird Haha, hmm, ja, dit is allemaal code uit 2013 die al 13 jaar zonder problemen draait. Daarom wordt ik ook zo boos als het dan opeens stopt met werken. 🤣
@mark_jansen Yeah, that's something to investigate. I switched in 2016 and things only got easier since then, esp. now USB-C is the standard and allows for easy docking.
If you'd like to name a few OSX apps that you can't live without, I can see what I use for it on Linux.
@mark_jansen I beg to differ, you are a huge nerd!
No but seriously, they come with Ubuntu pre-installed and it's honestly a very smooth experience nowadays. I would pick it over OSX even if priced similarly.
@KatieKeithBarn2 Great list, all of those titles pique my interest! I know what I'll be watching on my indoor trainer sessions over the next few weeks. 😅
@MythThrazz From Pieterburen to Pieterberg, aka the Pieterpad. A very famous route that old people here usually walk over many weekends.
When is your event? Do you need to take sleeping gear? I hope not, nothing beats a proper bed and shower after a day on the bike. 😃
I don't even know. Wanted to break up the monotony, I guess. And did not have that much time without it impacting family life. 😅
- Keep moving. Better to eat on the bike while riding a slow pace than full stop, you will never make up the lost minutes.
- Practice fueling. In theory, you only need table sugar but this gets old very fast. I had a small top tube bag in which I would dump whatever I craved. Sweets, McDonalds fries, anything. Whatever keeps you eating.
- I had a couple of €50 screw-on time trial bars for my handlebars just so you have an extra position to switch to and relax/stretch the lower back and hands.
It's mostly mental, as you can adjust the pace to match your condition. Your butt and lower back may need some training though. If you can do a 3-4 hour ride in the 2-3 weeks before the event, you will absolutely smash it!
Oooh. Yeah, I use that one. What isn't working for you?
I always simply did PSR12 + phpstan at level 5, but the Security and DB sniffs from WPCs are certainly nice to have.
Not a big fan of most of the rest though, but that is probably just a matter of taste and getting used to all the whitespace.
