Look at Zheng’s reaction after passing a Grand Slam qualifying.
Bigger reaction than when she reached a Slam final or won the Olympic Gold Medal.
Tennis is tough.
I did the same testing because I used to cramp during night matches. I was hydrating all day with water, but I was also peeing a lot and flushing out all my salt. Once I increased my electrolyte intake, the cramping at night disappeared
I think about Zizou Berg’s doing all sorts of tests to figure out why he cramped so often. He discovered that he was a “salt sweater” and expelled more salt than usual when he sweat. Adjusted sodium intake (literally had salt packets on court with him) solved his problem.
Gael Monfils to Elina Svitolina:
'I would like to thank my wife because without her, I maybe wouldn't be still here tonight. We've been together 8 beautiful years, you have supported me, raised me up, loved me, and you gave me the greatest gift in our daughter. I love you' ❤️

Two souls who had both struggled to belong have found each other
can’t help but see the parallels in alysa liu and carlos alcaraz. somehow, they’ve both prioritised finding joy in doing their art, elevating them and setting them apart 🥹💚
both adam and ilia's backflip scared the shit out of me i'm gonna be honest. still doing the backflip after such a flop of a skate while they're clearly distressed is insane and i'm so glad they didn't get hurt
Since the Winter Olympics is underway, this is the perfect time to post Surya Bonaly doing her back flip on ice. Judges used to underscore her and I loved that she did the backflip in her last performance before retiring as a big FU to the establishment.
Jessica Pegula lost in grand slam qualifying 12 times between 2011 and 2018, didn't make a third round until 2020, but she kept showing up and believing she could improve. Perseverance counts for so much.
