White folks: "I feared for my life."
--They had a right to stand their ground.
Black folks: "I feared for my life."
--They should've just ignored it and walked away.
"You don't get freedom peacefully. Anyone who is depriving you of freedom isn't deserving of a peaceful approach." —Malcolm X
These words that still resonate today.
This is what Greenwood looked like before it was attacked and destroyed. Before the smoke and flames, before the killing, there was a thriving Black community known as Black Wall Street, filled with Black owned businesses, homes, faith, dignity, and possibility.
What began on May 31, 1921 was an assault on one of the most prosperous Black communities in the nation, a place where Black enterprise, excellence, and self determination were visible in every block. The violence would continue into June 1 and leave that community devastated. More than 35 blocks were destroyed, hundreds were killed, and thousands were left homeless.
We must remember not only how Greenwood was destroyed, but what was stolen.

#BREAKING: Psaki: “…I have to start tonight with a story that in any other administration, would be grounds for opening an impeachment inquiry, because today ProPublica reported that the White House intervened to get a $620 million deal for a company tied to President Trump’s adult son @DonaldJTrumpJr…the deal in question involved a startup focused on rare earth magnet production called Vulcan Elements and last Summer, Don Jr’s venture capital firm took an undisclosed stake in that company, and wouldn’t you know…three months later, the Pentagon announced that it was giving Vulcan Elements a $620 million loan.”🙄🤦♀️
@AP Very telling that Pope Leo is putting a huge spotlight on the horrors of slavery and making a historic apology while the Trump administration is literally trying to whitewash it and erase it from history.
HOLY CRAP Trump actually accomplished a miracle. Here is what he got out of Iran:
- Reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium by about 98%
- Limit uranium enrichment to 3.67% purity (far below weapons-grade)
- Cut the number of installed centrifuges by roughly two-thirds
- Only enrich uranium at one declared site (Natanz)
- Stop enrichment activities at Fordow and convert it into a research facility
- Redesign the Arak heavy-water reactor so it could not easily produce weapons-grade plutonium
- Ship out or dilute excess enriched uranium
Allow extensive inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Permit continuous monitoring of nuclear facilities and supply chains
- Accept “snap” inspections under expanded monitoring rules
- Avoid building new heavy-water reactors for years
- Stay within strict limits on uranium stockpile size and centrifuge development for set periods ranging from 10–25 years
Ooops, sorry!
That was the JCPOA that Obama signed with Iran, only to have him tear it up, kill 140 kids, get hundreds of Americans injured, 13 killed, and gas prices to surge 50%.
🇺🇸 Let that actually sink in for a second.
✓ You followed the rules. ✓ Filed the paperwork. ✓ Paid the fees. ✓ Waited for years. ✓ Built a life legally in America and married a U.S. citizen. 🇺🇸
And now you’re being told to leave and wait somewhere else with no clear timeline and no guarantee of when you can return.
This isn’t about stopping illegal immigration anymore.
This is about making legal immigration so painful and humiliating that people stop trying entirely.
The cruelty is the point.
Imagine being married to an American citizen for ten years, doing everything right, and waking up to this news.
America was built by people who came here and built something. Every single wave of immigration was called dangerous and unwanted by whoever came before them.
And every single time history proved those fears wrong.
This policy won’t make America safer. It won’t strengthen the economy. It won’t protect American workers.
It will just destroy legal immigrant families who trusted that following the rules meant something.
Apparently it doesn’t anymore.😐
@BigEasyConserv Pulling the cowardly BS and blocking a reply, figures lol…however, based on your rant you’re obviously an ignorant, closed-minded, racist POS that is insanely jealous and envious of @WendellPierce
@BigEasyConserv@WendellPierce So bothered you had to look him up…And?….Injustice is injustice, and compared to his colleagues in the industry not AA, “playing a cop on tv” he’s more than likely underpaid. Meanwhile multi million and billionaire cronies in this administration are playing with ppls lives 🙄
@AlexParkerwltd@dysonslayer@rirokpik@AlexParkerwltd of course you would delete your comment 😂🤣 not surprised though; ppl like you with your rhetoric, misinformation, and pseudo intellectualism can’t handle simple facts.
@AlexParkerwltd@dysonslayer@rirokpik Vs 12 million African slaves for economic gain AND on the basis of race, for centuries longer, lynching, murder, rape, burning down self sufficient cities, jim crow laws, fighting for the right to be treated as a human being aka civil rights..NOTHING compares..
Like I said before, Black people a very valid reason to hate white people and whereas white people don't really have one. Black people's hatred of white people stems from centuries of oppression. Whereas white people's hatred of Black people stems from jealousy and inferiority
If you hunt to feed your family, you won't hear a word from me about it and I fully support you. But if you pay $30K to fly to Africa and shoot a lion in the face, there's something wrong with you.
@1ABeliever@oreomints111@Olujimi_13@ArtCandee Ha! I seriously doubt that you are lol. You’re really oblivious and ignorant;these are overall healthy women that have been ignored, and are dying from complications that have nothing to do w/diet or weight. The facts don’t lie, but ppl like you have an aversion to facts 🙄
I just want to point out....
The amount of money the United States has spent on war in the last 67 days, is roughly the same cost that Bernie Sanders proposed for universal college. So the real question is never can we afford it, it's what we choose to prioritize.
