We're all stories, in the end.... so let's make it a good one
@DCYakabuski@GMacraeBurnet Just ordered this so hopefully get it soon. Love this week series of short novellas and such a range of cutting edge Scots writers.
Myself and the team at the Minnesota State Fair where we do science activities and what should have been 2 stage shows (1 cancelled by rain) as part of the STEM Day at the Fair event.
@UnheimlichManvr There's a sequel too (Deeper) which languishes my TBR which i picked up last year but as I read the first one so long ago, I've forgotten much of the detail so keeping my eyes open for cheap used copy
@modsoftoday Oscillate between Behind the Counter, Big New Prinz and Blindness for originals. For me, the ideal track that sums them up will always be the cover of Lost in Music though
@funkentechno It may be just a dusting out of the closets of Uncollected stuff but from start to end, a really solid listen. I've got the expanded albums next in my bandcamp wishlist once I check there's not a lot of repeats on the extra CDs with Switched On and Oscillons
@funkentechno Recently picked up the expanded Switched on boxset and that's been the soundtrack as I fly across the US or loiter in airports waiting for connection
@_motherslug My library is a good few thousand and in hopefully what was the last move - boxes for reams of paper from offices, banana boxes from grocery store and probably not useful - boxes that larger chemicals are shipped in from my dept. Only 1 blow out (I slipped on steps)
@CriticalWax Odd kind of day trying to write a talk for a conference starting woth Wu Tang / Fugazi then inspired as picked up the mail to get Copes Notes #6, his ramblings and demos for Jehovahkill but saving it till talk is done and needed a comfy finish for the day with The Hurting
Gave up and closed and locked my office door so I could work uninterrupted on upcoming conference talks with this fabulous mash-up of Fugazi and the Wu-Tang Clan for soundtrack
Rest inspired by @BloodyScotland's sharing of McIlvanney longlist, of the 12 I only had 1 (Past Lying) so ordered a pile plus earlier books in series where applicable so top left 3 are on the longlist as is Spy Like Me and Kennedy 35 is on the way ( picked up 1st 2 to catch up).
Haven't posted much lately as life been kind of shite but used a bit of the pittance for teaching summer school to buy a bucket of books. Upper right corner is my awesome monthly horror book subscription and below, an @aptshadow I somehow missed in that damn pandemic.
@dgonzales1990 If it's not broke.... I love the packaging still looks the same as the 10+ year old roll in my grad school lab a few decades ago... so many things can be dated to a specific time period and parafilm just doesn't care :-)
@tansleyjames Looking forward to it. I've been listening to Lifeblood 20 a lot lately while doing reports and will be nice to go back to most recent few studio albums which I've neglected since release...
