We’re proud to lead the impact campaign advancing festival inclusion for 'Can’t Float', a warm, short comedy inspired by a true story, following a 30-something year old Black man who confronts his lifelong fear of swimming.
🏊🏿♂️Directed by @dave_schilling.
Camp Miasma query...how can the protagonist have watched the titular slasher movie on VHS at age eight if she says she's 29 years old? NO ONE was still watching VHS in the mid-2000s. If this movie were made a decade ago, it would have made sense.
To be fair, sacking a manager because winning a trophy and finishing 17th is “unacceptable”, then proceeding to finish 17th with no trophy, then spending £400m and finishing 17th again, would be the funniest thing this football club has ever done.
@weardjupiter I directed a short very explicitly about escaping childhood. I don’t know if most festival audiences are getting that part, but I also am probably projecting my own self-critique.
