@MannGeorgia@BBCRadio3 You were brilliant in spite of all that travail, Georgia. I listened on my way to take the choristers at King’s where I’m spending a term. @BBCRadio3 my lifeline between rehearsals and services.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the world-renowned soprano Dame Felicity Lott.
It was a privilege to welcome Dame Felicity to the Charles Wood International Song Competition in 2022, and we are honoured that our annual Dame Felicity Lott Song Prize continues in her name.
Her contribution to the world of music and song was immense, and she will be remembered with enormous affection and admiration.
Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched through her music.
Completely devastated by the passing of Dame Felicity Lott. One of the greatest singers of her generation, a good friend and VP of The Bach Choir. Such a self-effacing, truly humble person with extraordinary skills. She will be so missed by us all. Mag she RIP
He collects music. He worked with Stravinsky and Britten. And he loved listening to Mahler while filming on the Galápagos Islands. All day today @BBCRadio3, we celebrate the musical side of this wonderful centenarian. Happy birthday, Sir David 🥳 🎶
Sad news of the passing of Michael Tilson Thomas - a major figure in American music, and a huge influence on so many young musicians. He will be missed (as is his husband Joshua). Thank you both for everything.

Pope Leo XIV has signed the Golden Book at the Great Mosque of Algiers — a historic first, marking the first time a pope has ever signed this book inside an Algerian mosque.
This gesture symbolizes interfaith dialogue, with the Pope writing a message of peace in both Arabic and French.

In the Russian press, no criticism of war on Ukraine. But an editorial slamming restrictions in Russia: “Where's the cut-off point, the line in our personal & collective experience we’re not prepared to cross, where we would say no, we can’t live without this, we don’t want to?”
A lovely day, in every way, @kingscambridge meeting lots of people before starting a term from April to July as acting Director of Music. The choir sounds wonderful and it is a privilege to have been asked to do this by their amazing Director Dan Hyde.
