Btw, @priceline showed what customer service actually looks like.

They replied to me that they will refund me the price difference between the original quote and the double quote regardless.

I forwarded all documents to Hertz support. After the standard 7-10 business days BS, they tell me what I already know about how much I was charged and refuse to acknowledge any issues. $1k deposit, doubling, then tripling the price, lying about secondary driver. All fine.
