Messi has often given god glory for everything he has expended in life.

Evetything means everything…

Not just the accolades but the adversity too.

one time he was called not just the goat but god and it bothered him so his response was simple. “I don’t like that. i am not his and everything I have is because of him.”

So much Of this in his life js rooted in deficiency.

When Messi was 10, he was diagnosed with a GHD (growth hormone deficiency)

His family did not have the means to pay for hormone  injections and so he faced the danger of his body not growing beyond 4.7…

Messi was in serious physical trouble.

He and his family had a major need and they didn’t have enough..

He had medical deficiency.

A financial deficiency.

A future that looked uncertain.

There wasn’t enough.

This is why I love that statement because if God has given you everything, then that includes the chapters marked by deficiency.

The diagnosis.

The delay.

The disappointment.

The seasons when there wasn’t enough.

This is how god shows up.

Every miracle i the bible begins with desperation…deficiency, or scarcity .

A deficiency of wine.

A deficiency of sight.

A deficiency of strength.

A deficiency of life.

And as we will study..
Bread!

God has never been intimidated by deficiency, because our deficiency often becomes his canvas.

That means you're never praying alone. You have an Advocate who never stops pleading for your marriage, your family, your future, and your faith.

This is how you fake a funeral. When Khomeini was finally buried last week, Iranian state TV showed what looked like oceans of people weeping and wailing as they supposedly mourn the loss of this beloved leader.

This was a propaganda ploy at its highest level. This is a regime that silenced its own people by cutting the nation's internet for 88 days, that lock out foreign journalists, while they dragged their own people in the streets and killed over 40,000 of them.

The real, actual, reputable reporters can't get a visa, but influencers that they're paying get the red carpet treatment. Why? Because this was never a funeral. This was a production. So here's what the cameras didn't show you. The overwhelming majority of the Iranians that are living in Iran want this regime gone.

This funeral was a propaganda ploy to make it look as though the nation was in mourning.

If you've got to pay people to show up for your funeral, people aren't really mourning your loss. This was just the fabricated propaganda of a regime that's on its heels.

Most people think the opposite of following Jesus is rejecting Him.
But what if it's actually polite indifference?
It's possible to show up every Sunday, sing every song, know all the right answers, and still have no intention of letting God change anything. Obedience transforms. Rejection is at least honest. But indifference quietly convinces us we're doing fine while nothing in our lives actually changes.

As someone who escaped Iran as a child and become a legal immigrant in the United States, I believe America is one of the greatest blessings God has ever afforded me.
This country gifted my family refuge. It didn’t have to and I’m thankful it did.

It gave me freedom of speech, free elections, and freedom of religion.

This is where I was given the opportunity to hear the Gospel.

And it gave me the freedom to say “yes” to Jesus without being arrested for doing so.

Do I think America is perfect? No. No nation ever is.

Do I love America? Absolutely.

As a patriot, I love this nation too much to make a god out of it. My greatest allegiance will always be to the Kingdom of God. But that doesn’t stop me from being deeply grateful for the nation where I found freedom, faith, and a future.

So this Independence Day, I’m praying for more than God’s blessing on America.
I’m praying for revival in the life of Americans.

Freedom isn’t free.

Years ago, I was watching Saving Private Ryan in a theater when, during the opening D-Day battle scene, an elderly man sitting in front of me suddenly shouted to his friend:

“This is just like when we were there.”

After the movie was over, I asked them if they had indeed fought in D day and they had. In fact, one had lost his younger brother that day in that gruesome battle.

In an instant, history became personal.

Their sacrifice filled my heart with gratitude.

In an even greater way, when we fix our eyes on the cross of Christ, we are reminded of the greatest battle ever fought. At Calvary, Jesus faced sin, death, and hell itself. not for His sake, but for ours.

The freedom we enjoy as Americans was purchased by the sacrifice of brave men and women. This for all
Americans is a reminder to be thankful of our American citizenship.

On a grander scale, the freedom we enjoy as Christians was purchased by the sacrifice of the Son of God. This for all Christians is a reminder to be thankful for our eternal citizenship.

D-Day changed the course of history.

Calvary changed eternity.

May we never take either for granted.

While the world watches Iran through the lens of geopolitics, millions of ordinary Iranians are fighting a different battle.

A drug and addiction pandemic is quietly devastating families across the country.

Behind the headlines are fathers who never make it home, mothers who lie awake wondering if their child will survive the night, marriages collapsing under the weight of addiction, and young people desperately searching for hope.

The Iranian people are not our enemies. They are image-bearers of God. They are hurting, grieving, and longing for freedom. Let’s continue to pray for revival in Iran.

The IRGC doesn't profit from a free and prosperous Iranian people.
It profits from the chaos it purposefully causes for its own people and the rest of the world.

That's why the MOU and any eventual peace treaty will be received caution rather than celebration.

For nearly five decades, the Iranian regime has funded proxy forces, armed terrorist groups, taken hostages, and fueled instability throughout the Middle East.

They have waged war against the United States for 47 years and their signature on a piece of paper isn’t going to change much.

We should seek peace whenever possible. Scripture certainly bids us to: “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all” (Rom 12:18). So let us pray for peace. But let us also be wise enough to remember.  the wording may change, and the agreements may change—but until the ideology changes, the threat is still eminent.
