Hundreds of Bosniak civilians were executed from the Mehmedović Pasha Sokolović Bridge in 1992. Today it is being used to honor one of the architects of the killing sprees with music, fireworks and an installation showing his military cap. A chilling message to the Bosniak who survived and continue to live in the area.

Just saw a post from a mother on instagram about her "daughter" who had started saying "she" was a girl from age 4. Cue pictures of the son they are lying to. And every single comment is gushing about what a wonderful mother she is. I find this so alienating and dystopian.

@nejafeja I actually nearly did comment saying "you're lying to your son, you're abusing him" but it would do no good. I'd drown under a sea of pink & blue flags, and Mother of the Year would see it as further evidence of how hateful & transphobic the world is.

@fharris2011 Well quite. The real question I've been quietly asking myself when I assess Burnham/Badenoch or whoever is, "is this a potential wartime leader?" I don't think the populace is anywhere close yet.

@JoeBryce15 Spot on, Joe. I recently saw a great question for parents to pose to their children when these issues arise: “What is it about being male/female that is stopping you from becoming the person you want to be?” Sadly critical thinking is long gone in some quarters.
