For years, Toronto families have been told to accept a recreation registration system that everyone knows is broken.
I don't accept it.
As Mayor, I'll end the registration Hunger Games and make it easier for parents
to access the programs their kids deserve.👇
Hello Toronto. The reason for EMS delay isn't primarily due to bike lanes. It's because EMS faces delays in the ER - where I work - in offloading. The problem is increasing with a shortage of ER beds. From the 2024 Toronto Auditor General's report.

The public record shows Toronto's Hospital Row major institutions support bike lanes on University Avenue. I don't represent any institution but this is the public record which @abctoronto_ should read first. As a driver, I support bike lanes.
This intersection was chaotic and did not work for anyone whether they were walking, jogging, biking or driving. Thousands of people live here. This will make the neighbourhood safer for those who live and work here. And this group chooses to harass a traffic control office?
Portland & Wellington clusterf**k 🤦🏻♂️
The “Vision Zero / Net Zero” cultists at City Hall are ramping up their ideological experimentation to make driving even harder for citizens in hopes you’ll start taking the bus - a concept that Transportation Services calls “switching modes”. That’s why they’re accelerating road changes with the full blessing of Olivia Chow and local city councillor Ausma Malik. Meanwhile, our trusted “Chief Congestion Officer” is nowhere to be found. What do you think? 🤔
Sure would be nice to see Toronto and Ontario Liberals doing the same. One assumes they have some influence with the PM. https://t.co/biPRpHcehs via @torontostar
⏱️ Rooftop View for 5 minutes Today at Portland & Wellington Diverter:

Only 3-days after installation of the new Bikeway 82% of trips are now much safer! #toPoli#bikeTO#visionZeroTO
@RickPerkinsCPC@anniedufour99@PierrePoilievre@PolQC Rick, if you are debating the media, you are losing. Remember all Post Media, Sun media and virtually all talk radio prefers Pierre over others. So implying a full media bias against him is false. He’s better dissecting Liberal policy, but gives it all back when we he does this
The recent court decision in Waterloo Region is letting a homeless encampment stand in the way of transit, homes and jobs that Ontario badly needs. It’s a ridiculous decision that I hope is swiftly overturned.
If not, Ontario is prepared to use every tool at our disposal to move this project forward.
"Kick the druggies out" is a failed policy. We kicked drug users out of safe consumption sites. We kick them out of parks. So where are they going to go? @abctoronto_ calls for zero use on the TTC - I agree and in fact I would like zero drug use - period. 👇👇👇
I know a ton about Toronto drug use because I'm an evening and overnight ER doctor for the past 19 years. I see it all, everyday. I deal with the overdoses, the withdrawal, the violence and the injuries. I deal with people's broken lives. And I see people die. So I'm really informed on this topic.
The bottom line is we can't keep pushing these people away. They will just move somewhere else that somebody doesn't like.
The answer is: we have to pull them towards something. And what something is that:
-safe consumption sites
-no barrier housing
-plentiful drug rehab facilities
You can push them around all you want. But they're not going to go away. You have to pull people who use drugs to something that will help them.
I'm glad @abctoronto_ called on Toronto hospitals to give their input on bikes lanes on Hospital Row. Mount Sinai Hospital gave its full support of them as did 80% of staff. Dr. Newton the CEO wrote this letter in support of bike lanes. That's actual leadership.
Toronto's 12-month analysis of the impact of Hospital Row bike lanes showed limited to no impact on regular flow so it's hard to believe lights and sirens would feel an impact. The problem was construction. In 19 years as an ER doc, I've never met an EMS crew impacted. https://t.co/WUNbZYRlEi
A business leader, community champion, and one of the longest-serving Senators in Canadian history, Jerry Grafstein knows the incredible potential our city has - we just need to unlock it.
Honoured to welcome Senator Grafstein to the team!
