@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG You mean the scene that directly paralleled the one in her trailer, where she takes a child through the streets of a festival? Also that trope is not unique enough (nor romantic in MANY instances) to be credited to Chainsaw Man, sorry.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG If you used logic you wouldn't be blinded by your nitpicks with an aspect of the story that takes up legit less than 5% of screentime.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG You are literally refusing to engage with media for what it is because of your personal bias (self-admitted). But you believe your interpretations are an objective fact. You reek of narcissism and illiteracy. Bye!
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG well if you just say your pessimistic interpretations are the "true intention" then yeah you're always gonna have a bitter taste in your mouth. obviously i think my interpretations are the "true intention" as well, but I at least have the self-awareness to know its not definitive
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG I never thought the camera angles were strange in Lucilla's story quest. I can't even remember what you would be talking about </3
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG Not just for the sake of being positive, but for enjoying the game for what it is. They are products of passion which is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially ones with such high quality. If we let these nitpicks blind us, we'll simply miss out.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG romantic subtext, that doesn't take away from the fact that these characters' relationships with Rover are much deeper than that. Even if you truly think Denia had some weird crush on Rover, her story was ultimately not about that. I think you should focus on the substance.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG Well no cause I claimed they "strayed away from fanservice," implying that in a previous point in time there was fanservice, and that now there is less of it. The original claim was literally all about time and place. And in my 2nd message about it I clarified since 3.0.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG gotten closer after the events of 3.7, but Hsin doesn't actually know Rover very personally. She is very grateful to them and respects them. That is the intention behind all of their interactions imo.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG Well yeah I think it just has a different intention from you, not that it doesn't have an intention. "My Arbiter" ironically puts some distance between Hsin and Rover. It reflects that her absolute trust in Rover is because of their connection the og Sentinel. Ofc they've-
@agravesmistake decides to "be an asshole," your game ends up feeling pre-determined. there's very little you can do if you have a bad start within the first couple of minutes. and ofc theres trolls who pick most god awful playstyles you could imagine in a video game, even at their own detriment
@agravesmistake yes it's the worst community to ever be in. both killers and survivors have at least 10 imaginary rules for making the game fun. and the worst part is! youll soon realize why almost every player falls into one or the other! the game is just terribly balanced. if one or the other
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG I just think you shouldn't interpret every attempt at connecting with the player in bad faith. Yes, companies have ulterior motives. However these games are also crafted by a team of passionate writers, artists, and devs who want to provide a deeper experience.
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG The intention is to build deep connections with the characters, not inherently romantic ones in every instance. I agree Iuno's fanservice was excessive and it repulsed me from an otherwise excellent character. However I directly clarified I am talking about 3.X
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG And Hsin's relationship with Rover comes off as similar to Aemeath's in my opinion. You can view her as a waifu or whatever if you want ofc but there was literally zero romantic implications from my pov. Hsin and Denia have more chemistry with other playables than with Rover lol
@Mistress_Sudden@AestusEstusSG Cartethiya has not appeared in the story since 3.0 so idk why you brought her up. I agree Mornye had some fanservice, but it was very minimal. Denia and Hsin is a HUGE stretch though. Denia obviously called it a date to make Rover uncomfortable; you can even see them grimace.
