🚨| Since the Japanese Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has reportedly been using a different brake-disc specification on his Ferrari compared to Charles Leclerc. While the braking system remains largely supplied by Brembo, Hamilton switched to brake discs from Carbon Industries—the supplier he used throughout much of his Mercedes career. The change was not driven by performance concerns, but by the familiarity and brake feel he had developed over many years with that setup.

Ferrari initially resisted the change due to its long-standing relationship with Brembo, but Hamilton continued pushing for the alternative configuration and eventually secured approval after pre-season testing in Bahrain. According to AutoRacer, he has been running this specification since Suzuka.

Leclerc’s post-Monaco comments are believed to refer specifically to this brake-disc setup, and Ferrari may now allow him to test the same configuration in an effort to resolve the brake-feel issues he has been facing.
