Politics in the Pub in Warragul last night was fantastic! Great discussions on infrastructure for our region and a mutual agreement that Monash has been left behind by the major parties in terms of federal funding. Thanks to all who attended. #peoplepoweredpolitics
If you want to fix a house, start with the foundation. If you want to fix politics, start with integrity.
Integrity is the foundation that will make for good governance and effective policy on all other issues.
Itโs time to stamp out corruption and restore integrity and trust to our political system ๐ช

Our Super Sunday day of action in Drouin was AMAZING!
๐คฉ Over 100 people attended
๐ 738 doors were knocked by volunteers in Drouin
๐ฃ Two policy announcements were made: Integrity in Politics and funding for the West Gippsland Hospital
Thanks so much to @BrentHodgson for speaking at the event! And to all volunteers who helped organise and attended!
Lets do this Monash ๐ช๐ป
This is community-led politics!
This week we held our first policy committee meeting, bringing together a group of volunteers with a range of backgrounds and expertise.
It was a hot night in Leongatha so we held it outside!
We analysed the community feedback gathered through surveys, kitchen table conversations, politics in the pub events and doorknocking
We identified key issues and themes and began to formulate evidence-based policies that reflect the priorities of the community.
Policies should be formed by the people, not by party bosses who donโt understand our community and the challenges we face.
This is a better way of doing politics.

Well, the powerโs back on! (For now at leastโฆ)
Seems like an opportune time to reshare this article from the Latrobe Valley Express about the solutions that are available now to protect us against outages.
Itโs the same story again and again ๐. When are we going to see solutions?
(HINT: When you vote independent! ๐)

What does real Climate Action look like in Gippsland?
This was the hot topic of out 'politics in the pub' last night. We had a huge turn out of over 65 locals in #Inverloch who care deeply about how the energy transition will affect the lives, jobs and future of our region. This event was a wonderful opportunity for me to hear direct from the community, to help shape my policies for #Monash.

Community Campaigns are about raising local voices and that is exactly what we are (quite literally) doing!
Last week our Campaign Choir, โGet On Boardโ had their debut performance at Trulli Pizza in Meeniyan, and they were a resounding success!
Get on board will be playing at markets around Monash in the lead up to the election ๐ถ

The Liberal candidate for Monash wants to keep burning coal for 500 years - ignoring the science saying we need to cut out coal asap to protect against climate disasters.
Want to make sure she doesnโt keep burning coal?

"Honk for Deb" We kicked off our 2025 campaign last week on the Phillip Island Bridge with our Deb signs! We got 233 honks!
Politics... but make it fun ๐

Weโve opened a mobile office!
I'll be travelling around the electorate with my van this year as I visit towns across #Monash to have meaningful conversations with community about issues that affect them. If you see me out and about, come say hi!
Now, it just needs a name... I can only think of 'Cara Van'๐ค
Taking a moment this morning to reflect on our campaign achievements from the last few months of 2024:
๐We opened 2 x Campaign Hubs
๐Registered 170 x Volunteers
๐I attended over 86 events in person with community
๐We door knocked over 1500 houses
๐We letterboxed more houses!
๐We did a full electorate mailout of 80,000 calendars
๐We shot & released a Campaign Video
๐We held 2 x campaign launches
๐I had 1000s of meaningful conversations with the community that will help shape my policies for Monash
๐My team and I stopped on the road and saved a Koala from getting run over :)
In 2025, our campaign will get much bigger, exciting things to come. It's time for positive change. "If not now, when? If not us, who?" Happy New Year everyone.
