Question 2: I wrote them all so I'd never present something I wasn't interested in. Too much work.
Question 1: I had a few musicians dialed in. The late T.M. Stevens on bass, Alan St John from Billy Squire on keys, a great metal looking sax player (whose name escapes me). Once I found the late Bernie Torme to play guitar I realized it was going to be a very different band (Desperado).
@deesnider 2 Questions, if you could have done Love is for suckers as Solo album, who would be the musicians? And wich Twisted Song was litteraly the most uninteresting for you to sing?
Ugh. This is one of my pet peeves. That some people think my hair was a wig. IT WAS NOT. Not extensions, no hairspray, ALL ME! So yeah, I "left the hair on" when I went out. Sheesh. [I know you might have been pushing my buttons but it was a good chance for me to vent."
@deesnider Would love to have you meet my son. 80's rock was a release for him during his cancer fight...and that's all he listens to now. He turned Metallica's "Die, Die, My Darling!" into "Die, Die, Leukemia!" Make-A-Wish tried to connect to the band but couldn't get through their layers.
@deesnider Its crazy. You lived through all the moments of our lives from Jr high parties, puppy love, high school, driving, etc. and we have zero moment in your life except that time on stage. We get caught up in nostalgia and memories and forget that it was just a recording of you.
My wife says I make people happy. My kids like walk 15-20 feet behind me and watch the after reaction as I walk by. Sometimes people will unknowingly grab one of them and say, "Did you see who that was?!" My kids will play dumb and go, "No who was it?" To which they usually reply..."Lee Simmons from Motley Riot!"
@deesnider Everyone is entitled to their privacy, especially when you are with your family. Coming off stage you would expect it.
Saying that though you are in your own company every day, so its a big thrill for a fan to meet their idol.
As long as people are respectful and dont intrude
@deesnider As a kid I was always reserved and quiet - I found KISS late 70's then Motorhead and then TFS in 82 and that got me outta my shell - by 85 (I wasn't fighting girls off) BUT plenty just wanted to get with me - I went from being scared to being confident being me !
I'm not trying to insult you, you seem like a strong woman. BUT In the bondage world that says submissive. The closed nose ring (like on a bull or cow) is for connecting a lead to and pulling around. Don't believe me? Look it up. You may want to change you style if that's not the message you are meaning to send.
Very fair. I’ll bet to many it seemed very much like that. Oh, and 9 times out of 10 when I meet these bands they tell me they are huge fans and I was their inspiration! So there’s that….
@deesnider I mean, lets be honest. When Twisted Sister broke through there were tons of men in their 60s and 70s that couldn’t deal with your sound, or your esthetic.
Thank you, my friend. Those of you who don’t know Debbie Rachon should. She is one of the good ones. We hosted Fangoria Radio on Sirius/XM together for three years. (With @TonyTimpone1 )
@deesnider Flying over the North Sea with Stay Hungry blasting from the RIOs office. Got a lock on a MIG 29 while The Price was playing. We cued his frequency, let him listen a minute, and told him the name of the album before he bugged. Soviet sales improved?
@deesnider I can honestly say, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you, so I agree with every one of your fans. The way in which you've touched everyone's life may be different, but it's incredible nonetheless 🖤🖤
The studio was the nicest I’ve ever been in. Luxurious. But Page didn’t build it. He bought it from Elton John’s producer Gus Dugeon who got carried away with the build and had to sell it because he ran out of money.
