Economy and standard of living are 2 kinda very different things
If there’s anything I’ve learnt the past few years
It’s a cost and effect relationship
Good economy improves standard of living over time
Bad economy reduces the standard of living
Economy is the investments coming into a country and how that country raises money
As a result of those investments jobs are created and people get those jobs and that improves their standards of living
But there is a time gap between economic growth and standard of living growth
Meaning the moment a new company comes to invest 60billion in the county
That day or that year is not the day they will finish building their company site and employ people
It could take them 2-3 years to set up
Between that 2 to 3 years there’s still millions of unemployed people.
There is a difference between economy and standard of living !!!

Fellow Nigerians,
History warns us when we refuse to listen.
19 years ago, Justice Niki Tobi foresaw this exact moment. Delivering judgment in Buhari v. Yar’Adua, he left us a dictum that reads like prophecy today:
“I see... the need for Nigerian Judges to maintain a very big distance from politics and politicians. Our Constitution forbids any mingling...
Politics is based on partiality. Judgeship is based on impartiality. Bias is the trademark of politicians. Non-bias is the trademark of the Judge.
Their waters must never meet the way Rivers Niger and Benue meet at Lokoja. If they do, the victim will be democracy...
Let no Judge dance to the music played by politicians, because that will destroy their role as independent umpires.”
Niki Tobi, JSC
That advice, it appears, has fallen on deaf ears.
Here is the pattern unfolding now:
There is a coordinated attempt to use the judiciary to de-register the ADC the one opposition platform with deep roots and a strong Northern voting bloc.
Make no mistake: the NDC is not the target. The court action against the NDC is a decoy, a deliberate distraction. The real fear in the corridors of the APC is not a party on the ballot, but the ADC and the Northern electorate mobilized behind it.
To achieve this, the plan is simple: infiltrate, pressure, and co-opt judicial processes until impartiality is replaced with partisanship. Once that line is crossed, democracy itself becomes the casualty Justice Tobi warned us about.
This is why we must act, now:
1. To the Judiciary. Honor the oath. Keep the distance Tobi demanded. Refuse to be used as an instrument of political elimination. The moment you dance to political music, you lose the trust of 220 million Nigerians.
2. To the ADC and NDC: Be battle-ready. Organize, document, and defend your legal standing at every level. This is not just a party matter; it is a test for multiparty democracy.
3. To all Opposition and Democrats: Close ranks. Tyranny advances when we are divided. The attempt to de-register the NDC today will be the template to de-register others tomorrow.
Nigeria cannot afford a descent into one-party rule disguised in legal robes. We need democracy, not despotism. We need judges, not politicians in gowns.
The time to stand together is now before the waters meet at Lokoja, and democracy is swept away.

On June 12, 1993, the best, fairest and most credible Presidential election was held across Nigeria 🇳🇬.
On that day, I was away in Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹, representing CHIEF MOSHOOD ABIOLA at the BRUNO KREISKY award for Human Rights, which was won by the irrepressible gadfly CHIEF ABDUL-GANIYU OYESOLA FAWEHINMI. The prestigious event held on June 11, 1993. I visited CHIEF ABIOLA on JUNE 9, at his Ikeja home on my way to the airport and he gave me a letter to be delivered to CHIEF GANI FAWEHINMI. I landed in Vienna on JUNE 10, and CHIEF FAWEHINMI was pleasantly surprised, and honored to see me just two days to JUNE 12. Such was the selflessness of CHIEF ABIOLA.
I departed Vienna to London on JUNE 12, from where I monitored events at home. On JUNE 13, I received news of CHIEF ABIOLA coasting home to ✌️ victory.
On JUNE 14, I called PRINCE NDUKA OBAIGBENA in Lagos and he told me he's been trying to locate me because he wanted me to inform CHIEF ABIOLA about some ugly developments... Then, he dropped the bombshell: CHIEF ABIOLA WILL WIN BUT THE MILITARY WON'T ALLOW HIM TO TAKE POWER!!
It sounded too much like a joke. CHIEF FAWEHINMI arrived London that afternoon and I briefed him. He said it was impossible and we should get ready for a major battle...
We both departed London Gatwick on JUNE 16, and landed in Lagos to the warm embrace of exceptional Human Rights activists led by DR BEEKOLOLARI RANSOME KUTI and MR FEMI FALANA and others. It was the beginning of a Battle Royale...

I’ve followed @atiku since my teenage years when he was Vice President. His ideas, composure, and vision always resonated with me.
I remained loyal to PDP when he left. But this time,he embraced and moved to ADC, I moved too.
Loyalty built on conviction, not party labels.
Many electorates in 🇳🇬 esp the educated/non-political class are on standby observing the development in 🇳🇬. They're already tired of Tinubu/Shettima & Obi/Kwankwaso. The only candidate who has the chance to bring a fresh VP who can stimulate voters is @atiku, with @DeleMomodu
