One presidential candidate makes the killing of Alexey @Navalny about himself, the other goes and meets with the grieving family and promises support for their cause. But yes, they're basically the same.
This is for the young progressives out there. When I was a bit younger, I was terribly disappointed with then President Bill Clinton, who signed the hateful DOMA and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell into law. It seemed he had betrayed all of his values and the LGBTQ community that had helped get him elected. There was a part of me that said I would stand on principle and never vote for him again.
But then I remembered, voting isn’t about loving everything about your candidate. Voting for me is about making a strategic move that will best advance the cause of democracy, freedom and peace for all people, even if my candidate of choice really, really let me down.
I supported Bill Clinton for a second term, even though he had just signed DOMA into law, a law that said my love for my husband Brad was not enough to be legally recognized, not ever.
Candidates aren’t perfect. We shouldn’t ever expect them to agree with us always, even on the most basic of things. But we cast our votes as a prayer for them to do better because we know they can, and their hearts are in the right place.
Bill Clinton came around to supporting my community, without exception. It took time. We got there. So don’t waste your vote. Use it wisely, and make the decision, even if it’s hard, to back the best candidate for what the world needs, and to help prevent an utter catastrophe if, heaven forbid, the other one is elected.
“I was on my usual running path when I heard an older man yelling loudly enough for me to hear through my headphones. "Sexy lady, hey hey hey sexy lady!" He kept screaming it and I decided to just ignore him and keep running.
This ignoring seemed to piss him off so he lashed out and said "eff you, dumb B****!" Now let's keep in mind he was well-dressed and appeared to be on his lunch break from an office job.
That was my trigger point. The B word. I ripped off my headphones prepared to stand up for myself when this little boy who was walking alongside his mother and little sister in a stroller looked at the guy and said, "Hey. That is not nice to say to her and she didn't like you yelling at her. You shouldn't do that because she is a nice girl and I don't let anyone say mean things to people. She's a girl like my sister and I will protect her."
The man was immediately embarrassed and started gathering his lunch to leave. I asked the mother if I could hug the little boy (his name is James) and I told him how grateful I was for him. He just shrugged and said "Well I just wanted to make sure your heart was okay."
According to his mother, this is a typical day in the life of James. Thank you so much to the mothers and fathers who are raising the next generation to be brave and courageous, and to be little earth angels for all. I am so touched.”

Carmela felt the same way when Tony got busted.

@KarunaRiazi Give yourself permission to take a break. Lost my father two years before he died…it is harder sometimes on the ones witnessing the change than the ones going through it…
🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: A blockbuster new report reveals there were “serious omissions” in the Senate investigation of Brett Kavanaugh.
While the the 2018 GOP led investigation found there was “no evidence” behind claims of sexual assault of the then nominee, new evidence has emerged that the report omitted.
A new documentary contains a never-before-heard recording of a Yale graduate, Max Stier, describing a separate alleged incident in which he said he witnessed Kavanaugh expose himself at a party at Yale.
It gets worse.
“Stier wanted to tell the FBI anonymously during the confirmation process that he had allegedly witnessed Kavanaugh’s friends push the future judge’s penis into the hand of a female classmate at a party,” reports the Guardian.
“While Republicans on the Senate committee were reportedly made AWARE of his desire to submit information to the FBI, he was NOT interviewed by the committee’s Republican investigators,” the report concludes.
This PROVES the Republican investigation into Brett Kavanaugh was a SHAM.
We NEED to know:
- Who paid off Brett Kavanaugh’s $200,000 credit card debt?
- Who paid off his $92,000 country club fees?
- Who paid his $1.2 million mortgage to purchase themselves a SCOTUS seat?
There must be accountability or our laws mean nothing.
Shouldn’t there be a REAL investigation into Brett Kavanaugh?
