Our contractor remains on site and is working with utility companies to isolate services as part of ongoing works. This essential activity will not cause any disruption to customers.

The site remains dangerous, and we are taking every necessary step to ensure work is carried out to the highest safety standards. Please do not attempt to cross the bridge, bypass safety fencing, enter the site, or enter the water near the bridge or weir.

Over recent weeks, the bridge structure has deteriorated significantly. Despite the danger, people are still forcing access to the fenced-off site.
In its current state, the bridge poses a severe risk to life and threatens vital local infrastructure.
