This flock of golden plovers was spotted from our our Emsworthy Mire nature reserve, and was part of an even bigger flock of 100+ birds.

@ExeterTrees@HeritageFundUK Ali is a brilliant artist and loves working on the pine marten project. The images she worked from were taken when each pine marten was checked by a vet before being brought from the Scottish population to the South West.
🦫 Did you know, each pine marten has a unique bib pattern on their chest?
To help identify them, our field officer, Ali, has created a special “Bibliography” of all the pine martens across Dartmoor and Exmoor.

You might have seen snow on Dartmoor in the last few days, but have you seen snow buntings along the coast? ❄️
After breeding in the Arctic, 10-15,000 snow buntings come to the UK to spend the winter here. In Devon, they've been spotted at Dawlish recently!
