Signing of Working Arrangement between DGCA & EASA regarding production of Airbus AS350 B3 Helicopter (H125) at Vemagal, Karnataka
In line with Govt. of India’s Make in India policy and initiatives of Ministry of Civil Aviation in this direction, to facilitate production of Airbus AS350B3 (H125) helicopter under civil certification, DGCA has entered into a Working Arrangement with EASA. The working arrangement delineates role and responsibility of both the regulators for the oversight of this production.
Airbus helicopters has established final assembly line of AS350B3 (H125) helicopter partnering with Tata Advanced System Limited (TASL) at Vemagal, Karnataka, India.
Over the period, India’s civil aviation sector has witnessed remarkable growth and transformation. This working arrangement will deepen our cooperation with EASA in the years ahead. Signing of this working arrangement will provide a robust foundation for manufacturing excellence and innovation. It will also strengthen ancillary industries, create a ripple effect and benefit the entire aviation value chain.

The DGCA has granted approval to a new Flying Training Organisation (FTO), ARCA Global Aviation Pvt. Ltd., at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. This approval will help expand India’s pilot training capacity and support the growing demand for pilots in the country’s aviation sector.
Hon'ble Minister Shri Ram Mohan Naidu handed over the aerodrome license issued by DGCA to Noida International Airport (Jewar) as it inches closer to becoming operational.
The minister also discussed expediting of the remaining process by the airport operator.
Jewar International Airport stands as one of the most significant aviation developments in the country, with the largest airport area in Asia.
Envisioned as a major aviation hub with integrated MRO and air cargo facilities, it will play a crucial role in strengthening India’s aviation ecosystem.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation continues to closely monitor the evolving situation in West Asia. As of 5 March, a total of 281 flights scheduled to operate today by Indian domestic carriers have been cancelled. Passengers are advised to regularly monitor their flight status and remain attentive to updates shared through their registered contact details by their respective airlines.
A dedicated Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR) is functioning 24×7 to provide real-time passenger support. A total of 1,461 grievances have been addressed during this period through AirSewa, social media platforms, and dedicated helpline calls, in coordination with airlines and other concerned stakeholders. Air India is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East and has started operating a few flights to and from Dubai and Jeddah to bring back stranded passengers giving highest priority to their safety and wellbeing.
While most of our operations to the Middle East will remain suspended till 2359 Hrs IST of 5 March 2026 after careful assessment of the current situation, Air India plans to commence its scheduled operations to and from Jeddah from 5 March:
•AI2255/2256 - Delhi-Jeddah-Delhi
•AI2251/2252 - Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai
•AI2245/2246 - Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai
Air India has also planned to operate an additional service AI909D/996D early on 5 March on the Mumbai-Dubai-Delhi route with a B777 aircraft with larger capacity to fly back stranded passengers.
