This Diabetes Week, we’re supporting efforts to change how we talk about diabetes — and to raise awareness of its long-term impact.
By improving awareness, early diagnosis and management, we can help reduce the number of people progressing to kidney failure and needing transplantation.

Sending huge congratulations to our ambassador James Norton, whose London Marathon fundraiser has raised almost £150,000 and counting for Breakthrough T1D. 🌟
We’re incredibly proud of James, who not only conquered his first ever marathon but loudly and powerfully raised vital awareness of type 1 diabetes. In committing to the marathon, James wanted to achieve only one thing: to show young people living with type 1 that it need not limit your potential. He accomplished that and more.
We’re extremely thankful to the Bukhman Foundation for their generous double-match commitment. Thank you to everyone who backed James and #TeamBreakthroughT1D. 💙
