Noteworthy that PC MPP Stan Cho, who has a Toronto home but frequently billed taxpayers for Toronto hotel stays, was a key figure in the fight against supportive housing on Cummer Ave. for people escaping homelessness in Willowdale https://t.co/D1gPRbOMaJ
Heartbreaking news from Salsa on St. Clair this weekend. What should have been a celebration of culture, music, and community has instead been marked in tragedy.
My thoughts are with the victims, those who were injured, their loved ones, and everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.
Thank you to all first responders for their swift action under incredibly difficult circumstances.
There is no place for this kind of violence in our city. Everyone deserves to feel safe when coming together to celebrate.
WE SAVED SNEAKY DEE'S!— This is a victory that belongs to our community.
Thank you to everyone who spoke up, showed up, and fought to protect one of Toronto's most iconic music venues.
A special thank you to Martin, Mack, Mon, Lilly, Dan, and David for rallying the community and giving voice to this fight. Your passion, persistence, and leadership made all the difference.
This is what we can accomplish when a community comes together. ❤️🎶

From the brilliant folks @ember_energy: For the first time, every OECD country is generating less electricity from fossil fuels than at its historical peak.
Canada is at the bottom (4th last) - ie we're one of the OECD laggards in terms of phasing out fossil fuel generation
If walking costs you $1, we all pay $0.01. If biking costs you $1, we all pay $0.08. If bussing costs you $1, we all pay $1.50. If driving costs you $1, we all pay $9.20. Via study that still underestimates climate cost.
This isn’t about choice. It’s about who pays for your choice.

There are no words to truly describe the grief and sadness our members-the entire policing community have experienced this week. We are thinking of Constable Marc Pinizzotto, his family, his friends, & everyone whose lives have been forever changed by this loss. #herosinlife 💙🖤

I am deeply saddened by the death of a Toronto Police officer who was shot in the line of duty this morning. My thoughts are with his family, loved ones, colleagues, and all those affected by this tragic loss.
We are grateful for the courage of those who put themselves in harm’s way to serve our communities. May his memory be a blessing.
It is with deep and profound sorrow that we announce and mourn the loss of PC Marc Pinizzotto, 43, of our Emergency Task Force, killed in the line of duty today.
Marc devoted 18 years to serving the people of Toronto, including 5 years with ETF. He was a courageous officer, a respected colleague, and a man who put others before himself.
Today, a police family has lost their loved one, and our Service has lost a brother. The grief is immeasurable.
Our hearts are with Marc’s family, his loved ones, and his ETF teammates. Our members will stand with them, now and always.
A hero in life.

Great to have the one and only @brucefanjoy MP at Toronto City Hall for a wonderful chat about the opportunities ahead for building more sustainability and resilience.
Strong collaboration between all levels of government will be essential as Toronto works to reduce emissions, modernize infrastructure, and prepare for a cleaner energy future.
