@LightfootInHwd 3 Americans dying of carbon monoxide poisoning in Mexico is “3rd worldish” but sagging low iq thugs in Chicago & a mass shooting every other week isn’t? Hmmm
@OhMyGumz @Ussmorales13 @DailyLoud NY is the third world. Organized criminals in Mexico aren’t going intentionally put a basketball team in danger are you dense? Safer in the hands of organized criminals than illiterate thugs in most major urban cities in the U.S
@race_quick Bodily harm to tourists is rare in Mexico, although every blue collar baby boomer seems to believe organized crime warrants a third world label but children committing mass murder on each other in their high schools doesn’t, baffling!
@P38GAL Do people who use the term 3rd world even understand it? Underdevelopment isn’t something distributed equally or synonymous with social ills of another country. Mexico’s ails are from organized crime, Philly’s are from an economic, drug generated epidemic, same with L.A.
Makes me chuckle when people throw out terms like “third world” so liberally without knowing what it means, as if (under)development always distributes evenly in a country.
@wallerf303@business Illegal entry by Mexican nationals has been at net 0% for over a decade. Are you one of those dense boomers that can’t tell the difference between Central American caravans and Mexicans?
@calexicoooo@maleficentfay1 Op implied hardship of anyone not brown in Mexico was non existent, i.e fleeing was also non existant by proxy. I agree they immigrate in smaller numbers. But their presence is not small. There are 37 mil of MX decent here. Perception beats reality here
@maleficentfay1 People are so ignorant of that fact that many “gringos” cannot differentiAte Mexican cultural traditions with one another. I.e jaliscan mariachi being conflated with indigenous cultural dances by clueless white hipsters in the U.S
@calexicoooo@maleficentfay1 In the U.S I think there’s a phenomenon where south-Mex diaspora immigrated more densely while other diasporas spread out. Most Mexicans (indigenous, white,,mixed ect.) all seem to begin in L.A, south Mexico diaspora seems to have stayed.
@spencmar @PhilMcK69985835 @GringoGuerrilla Most peoples only perceptions of Mexicans in the U.S is that of California (L.A) Mexicans which are mostly southern-mex diaspora sprinkled with some Central American demographics as well.
@spencmar @PhilMcK69985835 @GringoGuerrilla Jaliscans makes up one of the largest Mexican diaspora in the U.S. the rich in MX being predominantly white vs. whites in MX being predominantly rich, learn the difference before speaking out of your ass.
