Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou has announced the launch of the North–South Business Cooperation Awards, returning with a total prize fund of €500,000 to support cross-border entrepreneurship across the island of Ireland.
The Awards, delivered in partnership with Co-operation Ireland, recognise start-ups building meaningful commercial links between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and aim to strengthen cooperation, innovation and job creation across both markets.
Eligibility criteria include:
✅Start-ups incorporated in 2020 or later
✅Registered in either Ireland (CRO) or Northern Ireland (Companies House)
✅Active across both sides of the border with a customer base in both markets
✅Minimum turnover of €200,000 / £160,000 and at least 3 employees (excluding founders)
✅Founder/shareholder must own at least 50% of the business
✅Joint applications encouraged for companies collaborating cross-border (any sector)
✅Previous Gold and Silver winners are not eligible (Bronze winners may reapply)
