Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today reviewed the ground situation in districts affected by heavy rains, flash floods and landslides across Jammu & Kashmir.

He assessed the ongoing relief efforts by district administrations, SDRF, NDRF, J&K Police, the Indian Army, BRO, NHAI and other departments.

LG directed officials to pre-position manpower and machinery in vulnerable areas and issue timely public advisories discouraging unnecessary travel in high-risk zones.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today visited Beerwah in Budgam to assess the damage caused by incessant rainfall and the overflowing of Nallah Sukhnag.

CM inspected the damaged shopping complex at Beerwah Bus Stand, met affected shopkeepers and assured them of all possible government assistance.

CM said eligible cases would be considered sympathetically and temporary rehabilitation options would be explored, subject to safety clearance.

⚠️ Due to the inclement weather forecast, no fresh batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims will be allowed to proceed from Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, towards the Baltal and Nunwan (Pahalgam) base camps on July 19, 2026.

🛑 This precautionary measure has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all Yatris.

📢 Yatris are advised to remain at their designated accommodation centres in Jammu, Udhampur and Ramban and await further instructions from the authorities.
