- Travel abroad: Married women need husband's written permission for a passport and to exit the country (Passport Law Article 18). Husbands can revoke it.
- Inheritance: Daughters typically inherit half a son's share. Widows receive 1/8 of husband's estate (with children) vs widowers' 1/4.
- Testimony: In most criminal cases under the Islamic Penal Code, two women's testimonies equal one man's. Stricter rules apply for some hudud offenses.
These are current codified rules. Other Muslim countries apply Sharia differently.
