@TheLawyerCraig Harvesting is illegal and fraudulent if the person collecting is soliciting or otherwise using agency to affect the choice. This seems like an obvious thing to investigate. Find it crazy that some don't seem to realize this.
@sonsofthesoil90@ianmSC The red flag is that Ramen got so many more votes than Bass. You can be right generally plus untoward intervention to tip a very close race. I'm actually confident that all this will be investigated by the feds, so we will see where that goes.
@Howlingmutant0 I'm not a huge Yang fan, but bravo for him. The larger cast means no member gets the attention showered in the past. Hope he gets the opportunities he's looking for, because he's talented.
@JillFilipovic At a minimum it should be necessary to establish that no untoward coordination took place, or accept that this system is venerable and needs to be reformed. That anyone thinks there aren't people who would abuse this system if they thought there was no trail is laughable.
@JillFilipovic It doesn't make sense that Raman got the bull of mail ballots cast on election day and Bass got so few. Those who focus on partisanship are missing this obvious problem.
@ianmSC And the info to focus on is these voters with no fixed address. Because it should be possible to determine when they voted. If there was fraud it'll be dumb people who got public funds and wanted to protect this stream. I mean the ballot collectors. They can't electioneer.
@ianmSC The obvious question is why did Raman, who doesn't have nearly the same level of visibility as Bass, pick up the bulk of the mail ballots turned in on election day. Only question that matters.
@FrankLuntz@ForecasterEnten That assumes Raman wants to win. What if she entered w/ Bass's blessing as a spoiler? Now that Platt is gone she'll become Shoeless Joe.
@EsotericCD The partisanship is not the issue (dang spell check). But it's crazy that people don't see that Bass has this big interest in not tangling with Pratt for another 5 months.
@lymanstoneky I think this is the crux, underappreciated. The bar is now you need to be sure you want a child. But that level of certainty doesn't come naturally to young adults, about anything.
@notbobkoz@rnscott12 What is misguided about treating this as a small company who hires a plumber, compensation in Hollywood often is about leverage and how much pain or discomfort you can cause. And that's definitely true in the c suite. This woman isn't going to hurt herself by complaining.
@notbobkoz Focus Features is owned by Universal. They spent $15m for the completed film. That the creators took this offer is all due to the highly concentrated market for distribution. Few buyers. Focus didn't take any big risk.
@EdWhelanEPPC@thatsKAIZEN The big tell in this election is that Reman got almost all of it. That makes sense if you think of her working w/ Bass to keep Pratt from coming 2nd. If so, it'll soon be obvious she doesn't want to be mayor, won't campaign, etc.
@EdWhelanEPPC@thatsKAIZEN This sort of fraud has a long history in the US. Tammany hall tactics. Here is your sandwich, now sign this form to register to vote, and then the ballot gets delivered to the service and the person is never bothered again. Easy to do, easy to find, but you have to look.
@xwanyex Society is going to change radically over the next thirty years because of technology, don't think we can even imagine it. What if birth doesn't require pregnancy and you get robot nannies? But people aren't prepared for the population explosion in Africa, w/ half world's pop.
