President Donald Trump says Chinese President Xi Jinping assured him during their recent meeting in Beijing that China would not provide or sell weapons to Iran under any circumstances, including through Chinese companies.

Adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin told him Russia would not sell weapons to Iran, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Trump said that, in his view, China and Russia are not participating in arming Iran, warning that doing so “would be very bad for them” and “certainly not in their best interests.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to Washington on Monday for an official visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House on Tuesday. During the visit, he will also attend the funeral service of Senator Lindsey Graham, whom the Prime Minister’s Office described as “a friend of Israel.”

Last week, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi oversaw the signing of nearly 60 agreements and memorandums of understanding worth about $60 billion with U.S. companies during his visit to Washington following talks with President Trump. Less than a week later, he traveled to Iran, where Iraq and Iran signed four bilateral agreements.
