Last night at 811, DJ Shinski took us on such a crazy musical journey that nobody remembered to pull out their phones. 😂📵
No videos. No photos. No receipts.
Just vibes, sore feet, and a lot of people trying to remember what happened this morning ‼️
Today 2PM — Memorial Day Patio Party ☀️
Outside vibes, patio open, drinks because adulthood means drinking on a Monday afternoon and calling it “networking.” 😭
Pull up to 811 (formerly Parliament)
Good music, good people, bad decisions tomorrow morning.
Fan of DJ podcasts and the stories 1 thing I’d love to see more of is Bay Area nightlife pioneers — especially African American & Latino DJs/promoters who helped build the sound, the clubs, the motion, and the culture we still enjoy today. Their stories deserve a bigger platform.
Some of y’all turning into poets once a year for Mother’s Day 😂 (JK)
Happy Mother’s Day to all mums, aunties, big sisters that became second mums & moms-to-be ❤️
Last-minute wedding after party for 40… no clue who the client was. Party bus pulls up — 90% Ghanaians from DC 🇬🇭
Started smooth R&B… then dropped Slow Down… and it was OVER.
4 hours. on a Tuesday
4 Real ‼️
It’s cold outside but I’m DJ’n inside Parliament tonight. All my friends better pull up — Afrobeats and everything else on deck. Don’t make me DJ to the furniture.
Thanksgiving weekend used to be a Kenyan tradition: fly to ATL, party like exams were canceled, ignore sleep, pretend you’re fine.
Miss those days—Kenyans healing with Kenyans.

“Do Africans celebrate Thanksgiving? 😂 Not officially… but give us food, family drama, and foil plates and we adapt QUICK.
Dj’n tonight, Thur ERITREAN NIGHT 🇪🇷, Sat full NAIROBI ENERGY 🇰🇪🔥 — the kind that makes leftovers taste better. #811PARLIAMENT
Just wrapped a 6-hour DJ set on a Sweet 16 cruise for a Mexican quinceañera 😭🙏
Humbled by the opportunity… and shocked my laptop survived six hours of pure cumbia, banda, and reggaeton. 🇲🇽
Grateful though — vibes were crazy.
