I would be VERY sad, but VERY prone to believing the victim. Unfortunately, even IMMEDIATELY after these things happen, they can rarely be "proven".

@JoTheHoeDoe @BeckyMunro6 @Hedleyonline In a sea of people whose arguments are literally “I can’t imagine these guys doing this stuff- therefore it can’t be true” and “these girls just want attention (even though they are remaining anonymous)”.... I feel like there need to be voices of reason standing up for victims.

@dreamingamo Also just SO SICK of seeing (firsthand) gross dudes in the music industry using their positions of power to take advantage of women. It is all too common for them to feel entitled to women’s bodies and not understand boundaries. The culture has to change.

@dreamingamo Thanks Amelia. This is one of those things where I typically take a backseat in online debates/wait for more info/“proof” or whatever to surface. But it’s totally different when you personally know things that shed light on the truth of the situation. I feel I have to speak up.

@Hedleyonline This statement is very sad. You could’ve moved towards real healing + truth by acknowledging what you’ve done (even if in the past) but you chose to prioritize your own egos + careers over other people’s pain. I do not believe you respect + applaud much other than yourselves.

@sarah_poll @Beaglemama4 @Hedleyonline Also please educate yourself about the statistics regarding how often allegations like this are false VS found to be true. Research shows that it is FAR more likely for these claims to be true. And even more likely for women not to speak up at all.
