@JesseHance3@OnisModsMuckd@iamAtheistGirl I think that every person deserves every possible chance to pull themself off the streets. In relatively wealthy western countries, there really is no excuse for homelessness, and it reflects poorly on our societies to allow it at all.
@JesseHance3@OnisModsMuckd@iamAtheistGirl I would imagine the burdens of living in the streets far outweigh anything encountered in most full time jobs, so I would guess that most homeless would be happy to perform some menial task for 40 hours in exchange for food, a roof, and a bed. Nothing is that simple, though.
@dotkrueger@mikealfred It's less than 25%, and you didn't talk about a time frame. For sure it would have value for a short while as it's pawned off from one sucker to the next, inevitably reaching a value of zero in less than a year. I think more than 90% would agree with this assessment.
@dotkrueger One major disadvantage: it was created in an arbitrary fashion and is "Bitcoin" in name only. Literally anyone can create their own Bitcoin2, or Bitcoin3, Bitcoin4, etc., in unlimited quantities. It's meaningless and worthless.
@ItsMrsRabbitToU When I saw this headline, I was shocked at first. Then I thought back to everything we experienced from 2016 to 2020 (probably have blocked some of that out due to PTSD) and realized that this completely tracks with TFG's previous behavior.
@ACTBrigitte What, because robust political discussion should be discouraged, especially in a modern democracy with a free press and 1st amendment rights? You should consider getting a job as a state spokesperson in China, or better yet, North Korea.
@TDisputations@ApartFromTheObv@SRevelare I'd be genuinely curious to know what you're talking about regarding this push to remove "gendered toys." I'd suspect that the push would be for toys to be more inclusive. IE, don't just make toy firetrucks with male firemen sitting in the driver's seat.
@TDisputations@ApartFromTheObv@SRevelare because that's what we all want, or in many cases, are we doing it because of social norms? Also, many people are what we would call "serial monogamists," but is that truly monogamous? These are interesting questions.
