Long before Victor Sanchez-Hernandez became a staff member at Seoul International Park, he was a shy five-year-old living in the apartment building next door.
His earliest memory of the park is stopping for a free summer lunch with his mother. Victor hesitated when he saw the other children, but she encouraged him to step forward and try something new.
“That’s where my whole adventure at the park started.”
The park—and the Dodgers Dreamfield at its center—became an extension of home. It was where Victor made friends, discovered new possibilities, and found a place where he could simply be a kid.
“You have a place where you can go and be yourself and just play,” he said. “Forget about everything else you’ve got going on. Just go play.”
