Looking at a nice weekend ahead with seasonal spring weather expected for now. Troughing along the West Coast will maintain tighter onshore pressure gradients for gusty west winds in the mtns and desert 15-25 mph at times with the typical June gloom for our coastal and valley areas. We'll also draw in some high cloud cover on Saturday, but no precip. with near normal temps.
High pressure aloft will strengthen a bit next week bringing a gradual warm up into next weekend as we keep the forecast dry over the next 10 days.
Looking a little further out, the climate prediction center is leaning towards above normal temperatures and precipitation the last week of the June and into July.
This due to our ridge elongating over the Pacific northwest, taking on more of a north to south orientation. The flow would become more condicive to draw up an early season surge of monsoon moisture across the desert southwest, possibly enhanced by an increasingly active tropics over the East Pac.
Still a ways out, but hopefully a good setup to kick off our monsoon season which officially begins on June 15th.
Have a great weekend! ☀️ ⛱️ ⛰️
@WinterSportsLaw You mean they have never been more corrupt and f'd up. And news alert, just because you have a law license doesn't make you an authority. You're just another common denominator around here. Next.
@georgewrighster Because it had to get to this point before anyone would do something. I'm so glad all the real fans are stepping up and making their feelings known.
