Very sad to say goodbye to @doteveryone What @Marthalanefox and her team have achieved with this was groundbreaking and has set the standard for the rest of us to follow. Very pleased of course that the work is being picked up by @ODI and @AdaLovelaceInst
We've been overwhelmed with love since announcing yesterday that we'll be stopping work after five years fighting for better tech, for everyone.
Here's just a tiny snapshot of some of that love.
Thank you to everyone who's been in touch🙏❤️

Thank you to all the Doteveryone teams, past & present. And to everyone who has supported Doteveryone with time, money & ideas.
The fight for better tech, for everyone, remains urgent. We ask that our friends & partners continue the vital mission Doteveryone has begun.
We’re delighted that the @AdaLovelaceInst will be keeping our research live, and the @ODIHQ will adopt our TechTransformed resources for innovating responsibly.
Both will be brilliant champions to continue to drive the change we need to see in tech.
In a world where our lives will be increasingly mediated by tech, it has never been more urgent that the Government is proactive in buying the type of tech that supports a fair, inclusive and sustainable democratic society.

These findings suggest a significant portion of the public does not see innovation as a good thing in and of itself.
Tech for tech’s sake is unlikely to wash.
The public will need to be persuaded that technological change is in their and society’s interests.
The vast majority of UK public think the internet has improved their lives but are less convinced it’s been good for society as a whole.
Only half feel optimistic about how technology will affect their lives (53%) and society (50%) in the future.
