CBD doesn't get you high. It gets your inflammation under control, and that's a much bigger deal than people realize.
Here's what's wild: your body already makes its own cannabinoids. The endocannabinoid system is basically your master regulator, keeping everything from mood to pain response to fertility in balance. When it's running low, researchers actually have a name for it: clinical endocannabinoid deficiency, and it's been linked to autism, migraines, fibromyalgia, and IBS.
Anxiety affects roughly 30% of American adults, and inflammation keeps showing up as a common thread connecting it to brain fog, depression, and ADHD. CBD works by activating CB1 receptors, increasing prefrontal cortex activity while calming the amygdala, the two regions most responsible for how anxious you feel day to day. It can even stimulate new neuron growth in the hippocampus.
In my telehealth clinic I've seen patients use CBD as a real alternative to anti-anxiety medication, without the side effects. But CBD alone isn't the whole story. Sun exposure, cold exposure, healthy fats, and even green tea all support your endocannabinoid system naturally, which means your CBD works better when your lifestyle backs it up.
I laid out the full list of ways to support your endocannabinoid system, plus dosing guidance, in the article.
Have you tried CBD for anxiety or inflammation? I'd love to hear your experience.

77% of your immune system is something you can actually control.
That number comes from a Stanford twin study, and it should change how you think about autoimmune disease completely. Researchers looked at identical and fraternal twins and found that 58% of immune function was almost entirely shaped by environment and lifestyle, with another 19% largely influenced by it. Genetics loads the gun. Your environment pulls the trigger, or it doesn't.
This matters because 50 million Americans have a diagnosable autoimmune condition, and millions more sit in what I call the autoimmune spectrum, with real symptoms and positive antibody labs but nothing severe enough yet for a conventional diagnosis. Conventional medicine waits for 90% destruction of an organ before it gives you a label. By then you've lost years.
In my telehealth clinic, I run predictive autoimmunity labs looking for antibodies in the stomach, thyroid, brain, adrenals, gut, and joints, often years before a formal diagnosis would ever catch them. The biggest triggers I see driving people onto this spectrum are gluten, gut dysbiosis, chronic stress, environmental toxins, and infections, all of which fuel the leaky gut and inflammation cycle that keeps the immune system on high alert.
The point isn't that genetics doesn't matter. It's that genetics isn't destiny. I broke down all 15 triggers and the specific labs and supplements I use with patients in the article.
Have you ever been told your labs were "normal" while you still felt terrible? Drop it below.

Mold isn't just a respiratory problem. It can rewire how your brain processes fear.
That's not an exaggeration. In my telehealth clinic I've watched patients spend years bouncing between psychiatrists for anxiety, depression, brain fog, and OCD-style intrusive thoughts with almost no answers, until we trace it back to chronic toxic mold exposure they didn't even know they had.
Studies show brain inflammation runs significantly higher in people diagnosed with OCD. Mold species like aspergillus, stachybotrys, and fusarium release mycotoxins that activate microglia, your brain's immune cells, and keep them firing long after the actual threat is gone. Those inflammatory cytokines hit the amygdala and prefrontal cortex, the exact regions responsible for fear processing, and the result looks a lot like heightened anxiety and repetitive, intrusive thoughts.
It doesn't stop there...
Mycotoxins compromise the blood-brain barrier, letting more toxins and inflammatory compounds through, which deepens the inflammation even further. They also drive oxidative stress, and your brain is especially vulnerable to that since it's packed with fatty acids prone to oxidative damage. Add in the gut-brain connection (close to 95% of your serotonin and half your dopamine are made in your gut) and mold-driven gut dysbiosis starts looking like a direct line to mood and cognition.
If your OCD symptoms showed up alongside fatigue, brain fog, or unexplained inflammation, mold deserves a real look, not a footnote. I laid out the specific lab markers to test for and the exact protocol I use with patients in the article.
What symptom made you first suspect something environmental was going on? Drop it below.

You can feel like you're stuck in allergy season year round and still test negative for every allergy panel your doctor runs...
That's mast cell activation syndrome, or MCAS, and in my telehealth clinic it's one of the most missed diagnoses I see.
Mast cells are supposed to release histamine and other chemicals when they detect a real threat. In MCAS, they fire off regardless of whether an allergen is actually present, and the trigger can be stress, exercise, certain medications, or nothing identifiable at all.
That unpredictability is what makes it so hard to live with. Symptoms span skin, gut, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems all at once, anything from chronic hives and rapid heart rate to brain fog and abdominal pain. Most people with MCAS have two or more of these systems affected at the same time, which is exactly why it gets dismissed or misdiagnosed for years.
There's also a real overlap with gut health. Research has found a correlation between leaky gut, SIBO, and MCAS or histamine intolerance, and people with histamine intolerance are more likely to have one of those gut conditions too. Diet matters here in a very specific way. A long list of genuinely nutritious foods, fermented foods, avocados, aged cheese, citrus, tomatoes, can all provoke histamine release in someone with MCAS. That doesn't mean cutting them all out forever. It means identifying which ones are actually triggering symptoms for you, not guessing.
There's no cure for MCAS, but there's a real path to managing it once you understand what's driving your particular case.
Have you ever been told your symptoms were "just allergies" and later found out it was something more complex?

Few things are more exhausting than chasing a candida overgrowth that refuses to quit...
You give up sugar. You give up fruit. You take every antifungal somebody swears by. For a few weeks it feels like you're finally winning. Then it comes roaring back, and you start to wonder if you'll be living like this forever.
I see it in my telehealth clinic all the time, people doing everything right, blaming themselves, convinced they just aren't disciplined enough.
You're not failing. The approach is.
When you pour all your energy into attacking the yeast and never ask why it took over in the first place, you stay stuck in the same loop. The yeast was never the root of the problem. It was the symptom of something deeper that got knocked out of whack.
Once that clicks, everything changes. You stop white-knuckling every meal. You get your freedom back. Food stops feeling like a landmine.
Click this link for a recent episode of my podcast where I break down what's really driving candida overgrowth, why the cleanse-and-restrict cycle keeps failing people, and what it actually takes to restore your gut for good.

Simple Monday reminder:
Rest isn't something you earn after you've pushed yourself into the ground. It's not a reward. It's part of the work.
Your nervous system doesn't know the difference between "productive stress" and "bad stress." It just knows stress. If you're always running, always doing, always proving something, your body is paying for it somewhere. Cortisol doesn't care how good your reasons are.
You don't have to earn rest today. ❤️

97% of Americans have PFAS in their blood. Let that land for a second.
The Safe Drinking Water Act has been in place since 1974 and only regulates 90 contaminants. A 2023 US Geological Survey study found half of America's tap water is contaminated with forever chemicals — and that study only looked at 32 of the 12,000 known types of PFAS. The real number is almost certainly higher.
What's actually showing up in tap water reads like a chemistry experiment nobody consented to: heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, flame retardants, industrial solvents, rocket fuel, weed killers, car emissions, and endocrine disruptors that research has directly linked to impaired fertility and reproductive development. Many of these contaminants have also been connected to cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, thyroid dysfunction, brain disease, and liver and kidney problems.
Even fluoride, which is added to drinking water intentionally, has been flagged in a scientific review of EPA standards as potentially associated with increased bone fractures, dental problems, and warranting further investigation into its effects on thyroid and brain health.
The starting point is knowing what's actually in your water. Your local utility sends an annual water quality report — most people throw it away. Don't. From there, filtration options range from under $50 to full reverse osmosis home systems, and the differences in what they actually remove are significant.
I broke down every filtration category, what each one removes, price ranges, and my specific recommendations in the full article.
What's your current water situation? Filtered, unfiltered, or somewhere in between? Drop it below.

BREAKING 🚨 Dr. Fauci funded the risky research at Wuhan that likely sparked COVID - making pathogens more deadly in labs.
New national intelligence documents confirm what many of us have been saying.
..then he lied to congress and worked to bury the lab-leak truth, and censored and gaslit anyone who dared to say the quiet part out loud.
.. then he fast-tracked a product for what they created and forced that product on everyone, at the threat of losing your job or walking in buildings.
Whether viruses or ticks, when people pretend to be God there are unintended (and intended) consequences.
Ancient healers used a sticky black resin from Himalayan rocks to fight fatigue and aging. It's called shilajit, and the research is catching up. One study tied it to a 60% jump in sperm count in 90 days.
