@MrJamesMay Technically because it was within the 30 minutes after sunset you don’t need a night rating and it wasn’t a total eclipse. Although it was a bit of an anticlimax, I was expecting it to get a bit darker.
@DozraytheGrim@eyuphftv Hi Andy, I love sharing my passion and what I do so I’d love to chat more. I’d love to get more involved with TV work. My email is [email protected] if you would like to talk more there.
@RichB62915879@soave1000 Depends on the aircraft obviously but they have far superior cooling systems. The ww1 aircraft I’m involved with does tend to overheat though
@RichB62915879@soave1000 We fly these from farmstrips so we don’t have a long taxi. But we don’t tend to fly them above 30 degrees because the oil temp starts creeping up.
@soave1000 Not too bad at the weekend. If it’s over 30 degrees the oil temp starts to creep up too much so we don’t normally fly them when it’s really hot
@DavidHansford1 It’s 1935. Not sure on the model but think it maybe a pd tourer as the bodywork is fairly unusual. It’s rotted pretty bad though so it’s going to become a special
@GgAviation The Stampe is basically the Belgian version of the Tigermoth. It is supposed to have better handling but I’ve never flown one so I’m not sure.
