The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. A dear friend deciding to leave Canada. High tech, well educated, paying taxes, and has not been able to get PR to replace now-expired post graduate work visa. I’m so ashamed of our bureaucracy.

@iamdavidmiller Strikes me how the license plate refund smells so much like the cancellation of the vehicle registration tax that Toronto had …. Ford cancelled that one and increased TTC fares within a week or so. Another case of poor subsidizing the less poor and the rich.

@erinotoole If the head of the Catholic Church can’t even offer an apology for the role that some employees of the church had in the abuses, this is not likely to stop. How much money did the churches get from taxpayers for their services? It wasn’t done out of charity.
