hello! I just cleared (nearly) all the replies to my old pinned, so I'm starting a new one. as part of that, I passed along ~150 potential inting cases to the team. thank you very much for your help in improving our detections.

if you want to make sure that I see something you send me, please make it a reply to this or link to it here. I can't make any promises that I’ll see or reply to all of this quickly (I try to enjoy my weekends too, I have a full time job, etc), but I'll do my best.

some tips to help me help you: if you include more information, i will be more likely to reply to your thing. please don't post random screenshots of people flaming you in DMs, I won't be able to do anything about that, just send those straight to player support. and if you want me to report your bug, please reproduce it in practice tool.

@prgrssvoverload I was one of the few white dudes on a team whose parents were from all across latin and south america. I learned plenty of spanish insults from my teammates. There is a difference between pendejo/cabron/etc and the sort of shit that people will type to their teammates in League.

@prgrssvoverload I have! I grew up as a goalkeeper playing competitively. If I had told my defender that they were a subhuman or to kill themselves for missing a tackle, my coach would’ve kicked me off the team on the spot.

@prgrssvoverload Actually, basically every competitive sport in the world has a concept called “sportsmanship”, where if you act like an asshole to your teammates or opponents, you will be removed from the game and be unwelcome to return. What sports have you played competitively?

@prgrssvoverload Because I have observed that it’s all a huge rationalization for you and people like you. People mute that shit and you find some other way to Be Heard. It all comes back to an entitlement to other people’s attention and regard for your feelings.

@MoxAether @Dreamer1v9 the purpose of soliciting and manually reviewing player reports like the one that originated this suspension is to improve our detection system by more precisely describing the behaviors that ought to trigger it.

one issue is that player reports alone are a very noisy signal.
